Setup 7 Setup T exture Spra ying 1. Connect air hose to user-su pplied air compressor & mater ial hose (G) t o mater ial hose outlet s . 2. Connect use r supplied air ho se to gun. 3. Open air valv e. 4. Connect material hose to gun. 5. Install spra y nozzle.
Setup 8 8. P oint gun into waste b u c ket and pull trigge r to pump water t hrough the system. Cont inue to trigger gun until material hopper is empty . 9. Install bur p guard (J). Caution , page 3. 10. Add pre-mixed texture mix to mater ial hoppe r .
Mixing Material 9 Mixing Material Dry Mix - 40 lb (18 kg) ba g. 1. Slo wly add one 40 l b . (18 kg) bag of te xture material to 5-6 gallons (18.9- 22.7 liters) of cle an water as instructed on the bag instructions . 2. Agitate to mix, using a ha lf-inch, variable speed drill with mixing paddle , to a smooth, lump-free consistency .
Spray Techniques 10 Spra y T echniques Recommended Nozzle Selection Char t 1 Control air v olume with gun air v alve . 2 F or more material v olume tr y a larger nozzle. Adjusting the System Sufficient fluid ou tput (v olume and pressure) and good atomization is a balance of atomizin g air , material thickne ss/material flow an d nozzle selection.
Shutdown and Cleanup 11 Shutdo wn and Cleanup T exture Spra ying (5 gallon Material Hopper) When you hav e finished spra ying: 1. T ur n spray er power switch (K) ON (air comp ressor can remain OFF) . 2. Close gun air v alve . 3. T rigger gun into buc ket until most of te xture mix is pumped out.
