For a 6-inch (15.24 cm) horizontal run where a maximum of one (1) elbow is used (refer to the illustration below ), the ductwork from the dryer outlet must not exceed 8 feet (2.

32 American Dryer Corp. 1 13222 - 5 SECTION VI ROUTINE MAINTENANCE A. CLEANING A program and/or schedule should be established for periodic inspection, cleaning, and removal of lint from various areas of the dryer , as well as throughout the ductwork system.

Remove lint from gas valve burner area with a dusting brush or vacuum cleaner attachment. 3. Clean any lint accumulation in and around both the blower and drive motor casing openings.

Depending on the model dryer , the connections for the manual bypass are made at the “T” or “three way” fitting located in the outlet supply side of the water solenoid valve.
