7 5 GETTING ST AR TED con tinued 6 BASIC RADIO OPERA TION TURNING THE E10 ON AND OFF The E10 can be turned on by the two me thods shown belo w. T o turn it off , press the PO WER/SLEEP button (1). 1. BA TTER Y SA VER/TIMER METHOD: Perf orm a quick, short press o f the POWER/SLEEP button (1).

It need no t be ext ended when list ening to AM sta tions. A fter turning on the E10, perform quick, short pr esses of the ‘FM/AM- A TS’ button (15) to select FM or AM.

7 CL OCK AND TIMER FEA TUR ES 10 SETTING THE CLOCK The factory has se t the clock to function as a 24- hour forma t clock. If you pr ef er a 12 hour, AM/PM clock forma t, see the section titled CHANGING THE CL OCK FROM 24 T O 12 HOUR FORMA T in the section titled SY STEM SET C ODES.

12 8 WORKING WITH MEMOR Y E10 OWNER’S MANU AL A t the factory, the E10 is set up with 10 pages o f memory, each page holding 50 fr equencies. This enables st oring of 500 fr equencies into memory. This factory se tting can be changed and tailored to y our personal needs or can be left as-is.
