Fluid Outlet Line A fluid drain v alv e (J) is required to relie ve pressure in the hose if it is plugged.

Maintenance 310622L 11 Maintenance Lubrication The air v alv e is designed to oper ate unlubricated, ho w- e v er if lubrication is desired, e v ery 500 hours of opera- tion (or mont hly) remo v e the hose fro m the pump air inlet and add two drops of machine oil to the air inlet .

Service 310622L 17 5. Inspect the v alv e plat e (108) in place . If damaged, use a T orx (T20) scre wdriver or 7 mm (9/32 in.) sock et wre nch to remo v e the three scre ws (103) . Remove the valv e plate (1 08). See F IG . 9. 6. Inspect the bearings (112, 117 ) in place.
Service 18 310622L 8. Install the valv e carriage (1 05) so its tabs slip into the groov es on the narrow end of the actu ator pis- tons (111). See F IG . 11. 9. Align the v alv e gask et (104 ) and co v er (102) with the six holes in the center housing (101).

F ro m the outlet manif o ld, remov e both upper clamps (132a). 4. Remove outlet manifold lea ving elbows (128), gas- ke ts (129), clamps (130), an d tee (339) assemb led.
Service 20 310622L F or Sanitary Ball Check pum ps : remov e ba ll gasket (242) and ball (541). Remove lo wer clamp (132 b), seat (233), and gask et (240) . Clean all par ts and inspect f or w ear or damage . Replace par ts as needed. F or Flapper Chec k pumps: remov e gasket (240).

Service 22 310622L . 7. Pull the ot her diaphragm assem bly and the dia- phragm shaft (121 ) out of the center housing (101 ). Hold the shaft flat s with a 19 mm open e nd wrench, and remove the diaphragm assembly from the shaf t. Disassemble the remaining diaphragm assemb ly .
Service 310622L 23 4. Grease the length of the diaphrag m shaft (121), and slide it through the ho using (101). 5. Assemb le the other diaph ragm assemb ly to the shaft as e xplained in step 2.
Service 24 310622L . 8. If y ou remo v ed the diaphr agm shaft bearings (117) reach into the ce nter housing (101) with an o-ring pic k and hook the u-cups (110), t hen pull them out of the housing. Inspe ct the u-cups . See F IG . 22. Replace par ts as needed.
