5 English 1. Know Y our HANNS p ad 1.1 Front V iew No Item Description 1 T ouch Screen Displays the user interface and receives touch input. 2 Camera For video chatting or taking self-portrait pictures. 3 Vo l u m e K e y s Press to adjust the volume.
6 English 1.2 Back V iew No Item Description 1 Microphone For audio input. 2 Earphone Jack Connects to an earphone using a 3.5 mm audio jack. 3 Reset Button Insert a pointed object, such as a paper clip, to reset the device to its factory default. 4 Mini USB Port Connects to a PC using the supplied USB cable.
7 English 2. First Use of HANNS p ad 2.1 Managing and Ch arging the Battery Before using the HANNS pad for the first t ime, fully charge the battery . HANNS pad has a b uilt-in polymer battery; use only the dedicate d char ger to charge the device.
8 English 2.3 Connecting to the PC Use the supplied USB cable, connect the device to the PC to transfer dat a or power up the device. Enter the USB disk mode to copy and dele te files to and from the PC.
9 English 3. The Home Screen 3.1 Home Screen After powering on the device, the locked Home screen is displayed. The screen is locked by default. T o unlock the screen, drag towards .
10 English • Remove application shortcut s : Long press an application icon in the home screen, the top of the screen displays . Drag the application icon towards until it turns red, and the n release the touch screen to remove the application shortcut.
11 English 3.3 St atus Bar The status bar is located a t the bottom the screen. The icons on the left side are: • Return : T ap to retu rn to the previous screen. • Home : T ap to return to the Home scre en. • History : T ap to view the mo st-recently accessed applications.
12 English 3.5 Application Menu T ap the application icon to view the application menu screen . In the application menu int erface, you can touch an application icon to open the application. In applications with browsing cap abilities, such as Explorer , Music, and Ga llery , etc.
13 English 4. Basic Settings Y ou can personalize applications, set the system d ate and time, configure the network connection, and change the other p ad settings in the Settings p age. T o open the Settings p age, do one of the following: • T ap the Application icon, then t ap Settings.
14 English T ap the Wi-Fi switch button to turn Wi-Fi on or of f. • The Wi-Fi icon showing indicates Wi-Fi is turned off. • The Wi-Fi icon showing indicates Wi-Fi is turned on.
15 English 4.2 Device 4.2.1 Sound Set the tone and sound not ifications. • V olumes : Includes volume adjustments for Music, V ideo, Games and other medium, notifications and alarm clock. Drag the sl ider bar to adjust the corresponding vo lume. • Default notification : Set the default n otification ringtone.
16 English • W allp aper : Change the background of the home screen by three (3) options. Refer to “Wallpap ers” on page 10 for details. • Auto-rot ate screen : When you rot ate the t ablet, the sc reen direction changes automatically . • Sleep : Adjust delay be fore the screen locks.
17 English 4.2.4 App s Displays the status of the a pplications in the device. • DOWNLOADED : Lists applications inst alled by the user . • ON SD CARD : Lists applications in the SD card. • RUNNING : Displays the running applications in the system.
18 English • Account Synchronization : T ouch the Account Sync switch to enable or disable account synchronization. • ADD ACCOUNT : T ouch this option to add a new Email account, if necessary . 4.3.2 Location services Set your location and allow interactive options with Google.
19 English • Make p asswords visible : Check this option to display p assword characters as you type them on screen. • Device administrators : V iews or Deactivate s device administrators. • Unknown sources : Runs and inst alls application programs not from Google market.
20 English 4.3.5 Backup and reset PERSONAL DA T A Factory dat a reset : Clear all the data in the tablet PC; gener ally used to restore the system when it goes wrong.
21 English 4.4 System 4.4.1 Date and time Set the date, time, time zon e and format. • Automatic date & time : Use the time on the network; it requires access to Internet, rest art the device for the settings to t ake ef fect. • Set date : Access to date setting interface and set th e date.
22 English 4.4.2 Accessibility SYSTEM • Large text : Select the size of the system d isplay font. • Auto-rot ate screen : Adjust the screen direction according to the G-sensor . • Speak p asswords : Allow users to say the passwords out loud instead o f typing them.
23 English 4.4.3 Developer options • USB debugging : Only applicable to development wo rk, enables to copy data b etween computer and the device, inst alls application program on user’s device without se nding notice and r ead log data. • Development device ID : Read the device ID af ter turning on USB debugging.
24 English 4.4.4 About T ablet • System up dates : Detect the system version and upgrade. • St atus : S tatus of tablet PC, including b attery power , network Bluetooth, uptime, etc. • Legal information : Code developme nt license and Google legal inf ormation.
25 English 5. Sof tware Application and Operation 5.1 Explorer T ap to open Explorer . Y ou can browse the files in the USB disk, SD card and the T ablet PC. • Home : Return to the home screen of the Explorer . • LevelUp : Return to the previous directory .
26 English 5.2 ES File Explorer T ap in the application menu to open ES File Explorer . ES File Explorer allows you to browse files on the microSD card and device interna l memory , or browse files through LAN and FTP servers. • Favorites : T ap to select folders and set them as favorites.
27 Eng l is h 5.3 Pi cture Br ow s in g T ap in the application menu to open Gall ery and browse for pictures. Enter the picture list and tap the picture you want to view . When browsin g f or pi ct ure s, t ouch the screen t o display the control bar used to manage pictures.
28 English 5.4 Music playback T ap to open the music list. The optio ns are — Artist s , Albums , Songs , Playlist s and Now playing . 5.4.1 Playlist The playlist displays all tracks that wi ll be played automa tically in sequence. Y ou can play , create and edit playlists in the device.
