FIRST TIME USE HOOKUP CABLES 9 Most video/audio connections between components can be made with shielded video and audio cables that have phono connectors. For best performance, video cables should use 75-Ohm coaxial shielded wire. Cables can be purchased from most stores that sell audio/video products.
10 FIRST TIME USE ANTENNA CONNECTIONS T O REAR P ANEL JACKS VHF (75-Ohm) antenna/CA TV (Cable TV) When using a 75-Ohm coaxial cable system, connect the outdoor antenna or CA TV coaxial cable to the ANT (75-Ohm) terminal.
FIRST TIME USE FRONT P ANEL CONTROLS 11 FRONT VIEW MENU/EXIT button This button allows you to enter the MENU, making it possible to set TV features to your preference without using the remote. This button also serves as the EXIT button when in MENU mode.
FIRST TIME USE Plasma T elevision “MAIN POWER” switch This power switch is for the complete system, and must be turned ON/OFF manually . It is recommended to leave the “MAIN POWER” to ON condition (lights red) for stand-by mode.

42 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y Continuous on-screen displays such as video games, stock market quotations, computer generated graphics, and other fixed (non-moving) patterns can cause permanent damage to the Plasma T elevision. Use this feature to move the picture around the screen in small amounts, at set intervals, to reduce the panel image retention.
43 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y FUNCTION This function is to suppress the contrast of the screen regardless of the Contrast setting in the Picture Menu. By this control, power consumption can be reduced or degradation of a panel can be mitigated. The order of power consumption is Extend 2 < Extend 1< Normal.
SETUP 44 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y Select SETUP when setting up your TV for the first time in Antenna Input. Use the CURSOR buttons or on the remote to highlight the function desired.
SETUP 45 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y Select this feature to manually tune each channel. Manual This feature is used to adjust the frequency data for the tuner depending on the user ’ s preference. Fine Tuning If set to ON, the power will be turned off when there is no transmission signal and no operation for about 10 minutes in the TV mode.
SETUP 46 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y Select SETUP when setting up your TV for the first time in A V1, A V2, A V3, A V4 input. Use the CURSOR buttons or on the remote to highlight the function desired. Setup Select System 1 for Europe/Asia, System 2 for North America.

48 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y LOCKS This function will block out the picture and sound of the selected channel or video input. It can also be used to keep the TV from being viewed for a scheduled time period that you set. The code to enter the Locks feature is a four digit access code number .
49 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y LOCKS Use MOVIE RA TINGS to prevent viewing of any movie that you feel may be inappropriate due to its content. Use the CURSOR buttons ( , ) to select the MOVIE RA TING category that you want to block. Press the OK button to block the MOVIE RA TING that you have selected.
