5 69-1431 Planning Program Schedule The thermostat display shows day , time, program period, and temperature. The thermostat can be set for f our time periods per day f or w eekda ys and w eek end. Before programming the thermostat, you can use the program schedule to plan your program.

7 69-1431 Programming Thermostat The thermostat is flexible and can be program- med for different schedules for weekdays and the weekend to meet your lifestyle needs. Use the personal Program Schedule for planning your time and temperature settings for various times of the day .
69-1431 8 Sleep is the time period you can set for an energy-saving temperature while you are sleeping. (For more comfortable sleep- ing, some people choose not to raise the cool temperature during the night.) IMPORT ANT Alwa ys press the k eys with y our finger tip or similar blunt tool.

13 69-1431 Operating Thermostat Setting SYSTEM and FAN Switches Use the SYSTEM and F AN switches to control thermostat operation. SYSTEM settings: Cool: The thermostat controls the cooling. Off: Both the heating and cooling are of f. Heat: The thermostat controls the heating.
69-1431 14 The minimum off-timer operates in cooling on the T8000C and T8001C, and in first stage heating or cooling on the T801 1R (heat pump model) and T8024C (multistage model). A flashing flame or or snowflake indicates the minimum off-time is in ef fect.
15 69-1431 T roubleshooting continued Symptom Ac t io n Display does not come on. • Check if the thermostat is mounted and latched on the wallplate — mount and latch the thermostat on the wallplate. • Check if the circuit breaker is tripped — reset the circuit breaker.
69-1431 16 T roubleshooting (Continued) . continued Symptom Ac t io n Heating does not come on. • Check if the circuit breaker is tripped — reset the circuit breaker. • Check if the fuse is blown — replace the fuse. • Check if the switch at the equipment is in the Off position — set to On position.
17 69-1431 Symptom Ac t io n System on indicator or is lit, but no warm or cool air is coming from the registers. Wait a couple minutes after seeing the flame or snowflake and then check the registers. System on indicator or is flashing. Minimum off-timer is in effect.
