U sing Y our Hob 12 Press the heating zone c ontrol key of your choice (eg. the rear right heating zone). The corresponding po wer indicator displays ‘ ‘. NO TE: T o speed up the temperature rise of the rear right and front left heating zones , press the Booster key , the power indicator will displa y ‘ ’ .
U sing Y our Hob 13 NO TE: Y our hob is equipped with 4 residual heat indicators. The po wer indicator f or each heating zone shows ‘ ’ while the temperature of the heating zone exc eeds 60˚C af ter the power is switched off . This helps prevent the risk of burns.
U sing Y our Hob 14 NO TE: The timer star ts counting down immediately . An audio signal sounds at the end of the cooking time and the heating zone switches off . Press the key to swit ch off the power to the hob . 3 Press the key to access the pr ogramming function.

Car e and Cleaning 18 T o reduce the amount of cleaning alwa ys ensure that the hob and cooking utensils are clean and dry before use. Regular use of cleaner conditioner is r ecommended for proper care and protection of the hob surface. Apply conditioner before using the hob f or the first time.
Installation 19 W ARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED SITING THE HOB All Hotpoint hobs are suitable for installa tion over any Hotpoint Build-in or Build-Under Ovens. Y our hob should hav e been check ed to ensure that the volt age c or responds with your voltage supply .
Installation 20 Fig. 2 FITTING THE HOB Unpack the hob from the carton. Low er the hob into the worktop ensuring the mains lead is fed in to the base unit and is not trapped under the flanges. Fix the hob t o the worktop (see Fig 2) Connect the hob to the electrical supply (see INST ALLA TION).
