2 EN Positioning and levelling 1. Remove the appliance from all packaging and check that it has not been damaged during transportation. If it has been damaged, contact the retailer and do not proceed any further with the installation process.
3 EN The dishwasher meets the requirements set out by the regulations in for ce concerning safety and electrical equipment. Any technical checks should be conducted exclusively by a trained and authorised technician: Repairs carried out by unaithorised persons will invalidate the guarantee, as well as posing a potential hazard to the user .
4 EN Connecting the water supplies Connection to the water and electricity supplies should only be perfor med by a qualified technician. The dishwasher should not stand on top of the water hoses or the electricity supply cable.
5 EN Anti-flooding protection* T o ensure floods do not occur , the dishwasher: - is provided with a special system which blocks the water supply in the event of anomalies or leaks from inside the appliance.

7 EN If the rack is equipped with the click clack handles* ( see figure ), pull them upwards or downwards to adjust the height. Loading examples for the upper rack Loading examples for the lower rack .
8 EN Starting the dishwasher 1. T u rn the water tap on. 2. Open the door and press the ON/OFF button: the indicator light will illuminate. 3. Measure out the detergent (see below). 4. Load the racks (see Loading the racks). 5. Select the programme by pressing the WASH CYCLE SELECT button; the corresponding indicator light will illuminate.
9 EN Wash cycle table Note T o make it easier to measure out the detergent, it is worth remembering that: 1 tablespoon = 15 grams of powder = appr oximately 15 ml of liquid 1 teaspoon = 5 grams of powder = appr oximately 5 ml of liquid Ariston dishwashers are fitted with an automatic filter cleaning system that may increase the cycle duration.
10 EN Only use products that have been specifically designed for dishwashers. Do not use table salt or industrial salt. I f using a multi-functional product (2-in-1, 3-in-1, 4-in-1, etc.) it is not necessary to add rinse aid; however , we reco mmend that you add salt, especially if you live in an area where the water is hard or very hard.
11 EN Shutting off the water and electricity supplies • T ur n off the water tap after every wash cycle to avoid leaks. • Remove the plug from the socket when cleaning the machine and when carrying out maintenance work.
12 EN The appliance was designed and manufactured in compliance with current international safety standards. The following information has been provided for safety r easons and should therefore be read car efully .
13 EN * Only available in selected models. Phosphate-free and chlorine-free detergents containing enzymes • We str ongly recommend that you use detergents that do not contain phosphates or chlorine, as these products ar e harmful to the environment.
14 EN Whenever the appliance fails to work, check for a solution from the following list before calling for Assistance ( see Assistance ).
