This guarantee is only applicable if the appliance has been installed in accordance with the install ation instructions detailed in this booklet. Cooling F an: A gentle flow of air will be blown below the c ontrol panel when any selector switch is used. Note: Whenever the appliance has been used , the cooling fan may run on or restart itself after all the controls hav e been turned off. T his indicates that the appliance is still warm.
O VEN TIMER OPERA TION A UTOMA TIC COOKING The T op O ven and Main Oven can be controlled by the automatic timer . When the timer control has been set for one o ven, it is possible to use the other ov en only during the same automatic cooking programme.

ELECTRONIC CL OCK & A UT OMA TIC OVEN TIMER OPERA TION 10 SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven controls ar e turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When switched on the display will show 0.

When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be check ed at an y time simply by pressing the C ook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pr essing the End Time button.
T op Oven Shelf Positioning f or Grilling The shelf can be inserted in two different wa ys for grilling. T he grilling char t will indicate the correct orientation. Note There should alwa ys be at least 25mm (1 inch) between the top o f the food and the grill element.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitate cleaning and st orage. The grill pan handle can be fixed as f ollows: Step 1 Remove scr ew & washers from the grill pan bracket (a). Step 2 Tilt the handle over the r ecess (b). Step 3 Slide it towar ds the centre of the pan (c).
Step 1 Ensure oven timer is set t o manual. Place the shelf in the correct position (see Grilling Guide). Place the food/grill pan on the shelf , positioned centrally und er the grill element. Lea ve the top ov en door fully open. Step 2 T urn k nob (B) clock wise to select grill function setting: Set to: F or Half Grill (Left hand side only).

The top ov en should be used to cook small quantities of food . T he oven is designed so that the grill element operates at a reduc ed heat output, this is combined with a heating element situated underneath the floor of the ov en.
Step 1 Check that the timer is in manual. Step 2 Place the shelf in the correct position (see Oven T emperature C harts). Step 3 Select the required cooking temperature (100–220 o C) using control (B) (see T op Oven T emperature Charts).

F AN ONL Y SET TING DEFROSTING FROZEN MEA T & POUL TRY Joints of meat and whole birds should be defrosted slo wly , preferably in a refrigerator (allowing 5-6 hours per lb .) or at room temperature (allowing 2-3 hours per lb .). Fr ozen meat or poultry must be completely defrosted bef ore cooking in the oven.
“SL OW” SET TING This is used for slow c ooking, keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. Extra care should be taken when warming bone china, as it may be damaged in a hot oven. ADV ANT AGES OF SL OW COOKING ARE: The oven sta ys cleaner because there is less splashing .

1. “ST A Y CLEAN” OVEN LINERS (BU62) ( a) How "Sta yclean" wor ks. The surfaces of the "Stayclean" oven liners ar e treated with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temper atures of 220° C (425°F) or above , the special sur face enables these soils to be slowly destro yed.

3. OVEN DOORS ( a) Contr ol Panel Regularly wipe with a clean, damp cloth and polish with a clean, dry cloth. (b) T rims It is advisable to clean the trims regularly to prevent any b ui ld up of soiling which may detract from the appearance of the cooker .
CARE AND CLEANING 30 W arning: Alwa ys switch your applianc e OFF at the mains supply and allow to c ool before cleaning . Note: The door can be wedged open using a tow el between the door and the side trim thus leaving your hands fr ee.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS F or your own safety , we recommend that your cooker is installed by a competen t person such as one who is registered with NICEIC (National Inspection Council f or Electrical Installation Contracting). The cooker should be installed in accor dance with the latest edition of the IEE Regulations.
