T o help you make the best use of your c ooker , PLEASE READ THIS BOOKLET CAREFULL Y . Y our new cooker is guaranteed and will give lasting service. The guarantee is only applicable if the cooker has been installed in accordance with the Installation Instructions.

NEVER . . . NEVER leave childr en unsuper vised where the cooker is installed as all sur faces will get hot during and after use. NEVER allow any one to sit or stand on any par t of the cooker . NEVER store items that childr en may attempt t o reach abov e the c ooker .

7 CL OCK/MINUTE MINDER OPER A TION TIMER FUNCTION BUT T ONS Minute Minder Here you can set a time period of up to 23 hours 59 minutes , tha t will count down. When it reaches zero , the timer will emit an audible tone. For Example: If you set 20 minutes, the audible tone will occur 20 minutes later .
The hotplate lid is fitted with a saf et y device which cuts off the gas supply t o the hotplate burners unless the lid is fully open. Do not use the sa fety device as a means of controlling the hotplat e burners.
9 SAFET Y REQUIREMENTS FOR DEEP F A T FRYING 1. Never fill chip pans more than one third full with oil or fa t . 2. Never leav e oil or fat unattended during the heating or cooli ng period. 3. Never heat fat or fry with a lid on the pan. 4. Always dry food thoroughly bef ore frying, and lower it slo wly into the hot oil or fat.

11 O VEN The ov en thermostat light will illuminate until the o ven has re ached the set temperature . It will then switch off and on during cooking as the thermostat maintains the temperature . Each shelf has a safety stop to prev ent it from being pulled ou t too far when attending to food .

The ‘S’ setting on the main oven thermostat can be used f or slow cookin g. PREP ARING FOOD FOR SLOW C OOKING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘S’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours. They will ‘hold’ at this setting f or a fur ther hour but marked deterioration in appearance will be noticed in some cases.
Switch off the electricity supply and allow to c ool before cleaning the cook er . Clean the cooker r egularly and wipe up spills so on after they occur to pr ev ent them from becoming burnt on.
15 CARE AND CLEANING C OOKER FINISH CLEANING METHOD Vitreous Enamel Hotplate , pan supports, hotplate front trim, burner caps, roasting dish, grill pan, main oven base , inside of grill compartment, inside of doors. Cloth wrung out in warm soapy water .
16 CARE AND CLEANING Take particular care not to damage the inner sur face of the door inner glass tha t is coated with a hea t reflec tiv e lay er . Do not use scouring pads , or abrasiv e powder , which will scratch the glass . Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blo ws.

DISPOSAL OF Y OUR PRODUCT : T o minimise the risk to injury to children please dispose of your product carefully and safely . Remove all doors and lids (where fitt ed).
Prior to installation, ensure that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions ar e compatible. The adjustment conditions for this appliance ar e stated on the rating label which is fitted on the back panel.

SP ACE FOR FIXING The cooker can be close fitted below hotplat e level. This requir es a minimum distance of 600mm between cupboard units of hotplat e he ight. When installing next to a tall cupboard , par tition or wall, for a minimum distance of 400mm abov e hotplate level, allo w a side clearance of at least 65mm.
LEVELLING T wo rear wheels and two front feet are fitt ed which can be adju sted up or do wn to set the height (915mm) and level the cooker . 1. The rear wheels can be raised or low ered from the BACK of the cooker by adjusting the levelling screws ‘ A ’ in the plinth.
23 ELECTRICAL C ONNECTION Connection to the electricity supply should be made via a properly ear thed, readily accessible wall socket which is adjacent to , and not more than 1.25m away fr om the appliance and capable of electrical isolation. The mains lead should be routed such that it cannot t ouch hot parts of the cook er i.
INST ALLA TION AND OPERA TIONAL CHECKS After installation, check for gas soundness . The supply pressure can be checked at the grill injector . Access to the injector is by first remo ving the baffle at the front of the grill fastened by two screws .
