2 GB ! Keep this instruction manual in a safe place f or f uture ref erence. Should the appliance be sold, transf erred or moved, make sure the instruction manual accompanies the washing machine to inf orm the new owner as to its operation and f eatures.
3 GB Connecting the drain hose Connect the drain hose, without bending it, to a draining duct or a wall drain situated between 65 and 100 cm from the floor; alternatively , place it over the edge of a basin, sink or tub, f astening the duct supplied to the tap (see figure) .
4 GB If a 13 amp plug (BS 1363) is used it must be fitted with a 13 amp fus e, either in the plug or adaptor or at the distribution board. If you are in any doubt the electrical supply to your machine, consult a qualified electrician bef ore use.

Once you have pressed the ST ART /CANCEL button to start the programme, the display will indicate the amount of time left until the end of the wash cycle.

10 GB Detergent dispenser Good washing results also depend on the correct dose of detergent: adding too much detergent won't necessarily make f or a more efficient wash, and may in f act cause build up on the interior of your appliance and even pollute the environment.
11 GB Precautions and advice The washing machine was designed and built in compliance with the applicable international saf ety regulations. The f ollowing inf ormation is provided f or your saf ety and should consequently be read carefully .
12 GB Care and maintenance Cutting off the water or electricity supply T urn off the water tap after ever y wash. This will limit the wear of your appliance's water system and also prevent leaks. Unplug your appliance when cleaning it and during all maintenance operations.
