FREEZER - MODEL FZA34, FZM34-FZA36P-FZA36G INSTRUCTIONS FOR INST ALLA TION & USE GET TING ST ARTED: T o ensure that your freezer runs reliably and efficiently f ollo w these steps. Choose a location for your freezer , away from an y heat sources and allow adequate ventilation - 30mm (1 1 / 4 inches) gap above .
F or Y our S afety For y our safety , read the following advice: The freezer c ooling system contains a small amount of gas which is en vironmentally friendly but flammable. T o avoid an y risk :- ● Install the freezer follo wing the installation instructions and ensure that ventilation openings ar e kept clear of obstruction.
Installation Location & Air Cir culation Locate y our freezer a way from sour ces of heat e.g . cookers, radiators, direct sunlight as extreme temperature will affect its per formance. Allow a minimum 30mm (1 1 / 4 inches) between the top of the freezer and the underside of the worktop .
Installation Lev elling: Lev el the freezer when it is in its final location b y adjusting the front feet , until firm contact is made with the floor . This will stop rocking or vibration and keep the door aligned which helps the freezer run reliably and efficiently .
Installation Electrical Supply W ARNING: This appliance must be earthed. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is acc essible after installation. Fu s e s Y our appliance comes fitted with a plug and a 13A fuse. If you need to replace the fuse, only use those rated at 13A and AST A approved t o BS1362.
C ontr ols Con trolling the T emperature of the F reezer C ompar tment The control wheel on the fr ont panel adjusts the internal freez er temperature .
C ontr ols Indicator Lights Green Mains Light The green mains light will sta y on as long as the electricity supply is not interrupted. Amber F ast F reez e Light The amber fast freeze light indica tes that the fast freeze butt on has been pressed on.
C ontr ols 8 CONTROLS F ast F reeze Butt on - Fr eezing F resh F ood The bottom compartment drawer should be used t o freeze fresh f o od. T ransfer already froz en food to one of the upper dra wers. - Before loading 2k g or more of fresh food select fast freeze f or the required pre-freeze time (see chart below).

T o ensure that your freez er operates as efficiently as possible : ● F ollow food packaging “best befor e/use by” instruc tions or your suppliers advice on a suitable maximum storage time .
Useful A dvice 11 USEFUL ADVICE Storing F ood in a Fr eezer ● F reeze and store either fr esh food or long term commercially fro zen f oods. ● Generally speaking long term storage means up to 3 months but this can vary , so alwa ys follow y our supplier ’ s recommendations other wise refer to the pictorial guide on the door liner (as shown).
Useful A dvice 12 USEFUL ADVICE Advic e on Using F reezer Dr aw ers The freezer c ompartments must be used with the drawers. The storage dra wers can be easily remo ved . Pull the drawer t owar ds y ou until it reaches it’ s stop position. Hold securely on both sides , lift the front of the drawer to release and remov e.
Cleaning 13 Cleaning W ARNING: Switch off electrical supply and pull out mains plug befor e cle aning. Interior W ARNING: Do not use abrasive po wder , household cleaner , bleach or wax polish to clean the interior , they will leave a smell in the fr e ezer .
Door Rev ersal 14 CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Y ou will need a selec tion of small hand tools, screwdrivers, spanners etc. to carry out this procedure . Our Ser vice Depar tment can arrange for an Engineer to do the c onv ersion for y ou but a charge will be made.
T roubleshooting IS THE FREEZER WORKING AS Y OU W ANT? Have y ou read through the instruction book ? If you still hav e a problem, before calling our service organisation see if any of the tips below help . The freez er will not work 1. Check plug is firmly positioned in the socket outlet and the power supply is switched on.
T roubleshooting 16 OPERA TING SOUNDS OF A FREEZER These are the normal types of sound that your freez er will make . The motor (compr essor) makes a buzzing or humming sound when it is running. This can be louder when it first swit ches on. This sound will reduce ov er the first few months .
