Multifunc tion S elec tor S witch 8 The Multifunction selec tor switch is used when opera ting the main oven. With the e xc eption of the O position the main ov en light will remain on when this selector switch is used. Off With the selector in this position the main ov en will not heat up.
Ov en Timer Opera tion 9 The Main Oven (only) can be controlled by the aut omatic timer . 1. Select foods which will require the same cooking time and temperature . 2. T o ensure food does not cool down and r equire reheating, set the end time so the food is ready when y ou require it.
10 Know Y our Timer CL OCKF A CE The timer incorporat es a 24 hour clock. Ensure the corr ec t time of day is alwa ys set, bef ore using your cook er . SYMBOLS A ‘bell’ symbol will light up when you select a Minute M inder P eriod and will remain lit for the period set.
Elec tronic Clock and A utomatic Ov en Timer Oper ation 11 SET TING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven contr ols are turned O ff . Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When switched on the display will sho w 0.
Elec tronic Clock and A utomatic Ov en Timer Oper ation 12 Step 3 Pr ess and hold in the Cook Period butt on. The display will r ead 0.00 with the ‘ cookpot ’ symbol lit. Step 4 With the Cook P eriod button still held in, set the required C ook Period using the “+” and “–” buttons.

Elec tronic Clock and A utomatic Ov en Timer Oper ation 14 O THER NOTES ON TIMER OPERA TION 1. When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be checked at any time simply by pressing the C ook P eriod button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any time by simply pr essing the End Time button.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitat e cleaning and storage. The grill pan handle can be fix ed as follows: Step 1 Remov e the screw and washers from the grill pan bracket (a). Step 2 Tilt the handle ov er the recess (b). Step 3 Slide it towards the c entre of the pan (c).
Y our cooker is not fitted with a con ventional grill. W e have dev eloped a Solarplus high speed grill which is designed to reduce y our grilling times.
Step 1 Ensure that the timer is set to manual. Step 2 Place the shelf in the correct position (see Grilling Guide). Place the food/grill pan on the shelf , positioned centrally under the grill element. Lea ve the top door fully open. Step 3 T urn k nob (B) clock wise to select grill func tion setting: Set to: F or Half Grill (Left hand side only).

The top o ven should be used to cook small quantities of food . The ov en is designed so that the grill element operates at a reduc ed heat output, this is combined with a heating element situated underneath the floor of the ov en.
Step 1 Ensure that the timer is set to manual. Step 2 Place the shelf in the correct position (see Oven T emperature Char ts). Step 3 Selec t the required cooking temperature (100–220˚C) using c ontrol (B) (see T op O ven T emperature Char ts).
Note: If soft margarine is used for cake making, temperatur es recommended by the manufacturers should be followed . Main Ov en - F an Grilling 23 F an grilling is a combination of heat from the grill element and the oven fan cir culating the hot air around the food . Joints of meat and poultr y will be browned as if they wer e c ooked on a rotisserie or spit but more economically as the door left closed.

Main Ov en - C onv ec tion O v en 26 Main Ov en - F an Oven Impor tant NEVER line the shelves, the floor or the sides of the o ven with aluminium foil as o verheating and damage may result. The ov en is heated by elements at the top of the ov en and underneath the floor of the oven.
Main Oven - F an O v en C o ok er y Notes 27 Since a fan ov en heats up more quick ly , and generally cooks food at a low er temperature than a con ventional oven, pr e-heating the oven is often unnecessar y . However , foods such as bread , scones , Y orkshire pudding , do benefit from being placed in a pre-heated ov en.

‘S ’ Slow C ook S etting 31 This is used for slo w cook ing , k eeping food warm and warming plates f or shor t periods. Extra care should be taken when warming bone china, as it may be damaged in a hot oven. ADV ANT A GES OF SL OW C OOKING ARE: The ov en stays cleaner because there is less splashing .
32 DO NO T allow young children near the applianc e when the grill is in use as the surfaces can get extremely hot. GRILLING SHOULD NEVER BE UNDERT AKEN WITH THE DOOR CL OSED . - Do Not line the grill pan with aluminium foil. - Ensure that the grill pan is cleaned after every use.
1. “ST A Y CLEAN” OVEN LINERS ( T op Oven sides , Main Oven sides and rear panel ) ( a) How "Sta y Clean" works. The sur faces of the "Stay Clean" o v en liners are tr eat ed with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils.
2. CLEANING GRILL, T OP OVEN AND MAIN O VEN (a) Base & Rear of T op Oven and Base of Main Ov en. Wipe out the oven with a damp soapy cloth. F or more stubborn stains on the base of the ov en use a well soaped fine steel wool soap pad . (b) Grill Pan, Mea t Pans & Oven Shelv es.
3. O VEN DOORS ( a) C ontrol Panel Regularly wipe with a clean, damp cloth and polish with a clean, dr y cloth. (b) T rims It is advisable to clean the trims regularly to prevent an y build up of soiling which may detract from the appearanc e of the cooker .
Car e and Cleaning 36 T ake par ticular care not to damage the inner sur face of the door inner glass tha t is coated with a heat reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads , or abrasiv e powder , which will scrat ch the glass. Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blows .
Electrical Requirements F or your own saf et y , we recommend that y our cooker is installed by a competent person such as one who is registered with NICEIC (National Inspection Council f or Electrical Installation Contracting). The cooker should be installed in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Regulations.
Impor tant It is essential that the lower cupboard is constructed in the manner illustrated i.e . having side , back, and roof panels so joined as to provide no apertures which could permit access to the o ven unit when installed.
