Printer parts Front view of the pr inter 1 Lid 2 Lid backing 3 Glass 4 Access door (closed) 5 On button. Touch once to turn on or turn off your printer. When the printer is off, a small amount of power is still used. To c ompletely re move power, turn off the printer, then unplug the power cord.
Control panel features The touch screen display show s menus, photos , and messages. You can touch and drag your finger horizontall y to scroll through photos and ve rtically through list menus. 1 Home : Returns to the Home screen, the screen that is displayed when you first turn o n the printer .

5. Select the appropriate options for your print job by us ing the features available in the Advanced , Printing Shortcuts , Features , and Color tabs. TIP: You can easily sel ect the approp riate options for your print job by choosing one of the predefi ned print tasks on the Printing Shortcuts tab.

How to get started with ePrint To use ePrint, you first nee d to have your printer connected wire lessly to a network and Web Services enabled. To get started with ePrint 1. Turn on wireless connecti on a . Touch the Wireless icon to display t he Wireless status dashbo ard.

Replace the cartridges To replac e the cartrid ges 1. Check that power is on. 2. Remove cartridge. a . Open access door. Wait for print carriage to move to center of product. b . Lift up lid on print cartrid ge, then remove it from slo t. 3. Insert new cartridge.
b . Place new cartridge in slot at an angle under t he opened lid. c . Squeeze the lid closed as th e cartridge slides int o place. d . Close access door. Wireless without a router (ad hoc co nnection) Use this section i f you want to connect the HP ENVY to a wireless-capa ble computer without using a wirel ess router or access poin t. There are two methods you may use to connect t he HP ENVY to your computer u sing an ad hoc wireless network con nection.
1. In the Control Panel , double-click Network Connections . 2. On the Network Connections window, right-click the Wireless Netwo rk Connection . If you see Enable on the pop-up menu, select it. O therwise, if yo u see Disable on the me nu, the wireless connect ion is already enab led.
2. Touch Network . NOTE: If the menu option you wa nt is not visible on the screen, t ouch the up or down arrow to scroll th rough all the menu options. 3. Touch Wire less Setup Wizard . This runs th e Wireless Setup Wizard . The setup wizard searches for available networks, and then displa ys a list of detected netw ork names (SSIDs).
7. Touch OK again to confirm. The product will attemp t to connect to the SSID . If a message says you entere d an invalid WEP key, check the key you wrote d own for your new network, foll ow the prompts to correct th e WEP key, and then try again. 8.
Tips for setting up and using a networked printer Use the following tips to set up and use a n etworked printer: • When setting up t he wireless net worked printer, make sure your wireless rout er or access point is powered on. Th e printer searches for wireless routers, then li sts the detected net work names on the d isplay.
