Installing a DIMM ✎ A memory module can be installed in only one way . Match the notch on the module with the ta b on the memory socket.

If you are installing an expansion card for the f irst time, you must use a flatblade scre wdriver to pry out the metal shield on the rear panel that cov ers the expansion slot. Be sure to remove the appropriate shield for the e xpa nsion card you are installing.
