Control panel features ! Wireless 5 6 7 8 9 1 On button and light: Turns the product on or off. When the product is off, a min imal amount of power is still used. To completely remove power, turn off the product, then unplug the pow er cord. 2 Cancel : Stops the current operation.
Status Lights When the produ ct is turned on, the on bu tton light will be lit. When the prod uct is processing a job, the on light wi ll be blinki ng. Additiona l blinking light s signal errors that you can resolve. Se e below to learn about blinking li ghts and what t o do.
Behavi or Solution If the problem persists, contact HP support . Wireless Status Light Light behavior Solution Off Wireless signal off. Press w ireless button to enable wireless printing and access wireless menu on the printer display. Blinking Indicates printer is searching for a wireless connection.

Printer settings tips • On the Paper/Quality ta b of the print driver, select the appropriate p aper type and quality from the Media drop down menu. • Click the Advanced button, and sel ect the appropriate Paper Size from the Paper/ Output drop-down menu.
Printing in maximum dpi takes longer than printing wi th other settings and require s a large amount of disk spa ce. To print in Ma ximum dpi mo de 1. Make sure you have ph oto paper load ed in the input tray. 2. On the File menu in your software ap plication, click Print .
4 Paper basics You can load many diff erent types and sizes of p aper in the HP Printer, including let ter or A4 paper, p hoto paper, transpa rencies, and envel opes.

Order ink supplies Before ordering cartrid ges, locate the correct cartridge nu mber. The cartridge n umber is printed on the l abel of the cartridg e.
Replace the cartridges To replace the cartri dges 1. Check power. 2. Load paper. 3. Remove cartridge. a . Open cartridg e door. Wait for print carriage to move to center of the product . b . Press down to release cart ridge, then remove i t from slot.
4. Insert new cartridge. a . Remove cartridge fr om packaging. b . Remove plastic tape using pink pull t ab. c . Slide cartridge into slot until it clicks into place.
d . Close cartridge do or. 5. Align cartridges. Clear a paper jam Clear a paper jam. To clear a paper jam 1. Press the cancel button to try to clear the jam automatically . If this does not wo rk, the paper jam will need to be cleare d manually. 2. Locate the paper jam Input tray If the paper jam is loca ted near the back input tra y, pull the paper ge ntly out of the input tray.
Inside of prin ter • If the pape r jam is located insid e the printer, open t he cleanout doo r located on the bottom of th e printer. Press tabs on both sid es of the cleanout door. • Remove jam med paper. • Close the clean out door. Gently pu sh the door towards the printer until b oth latches sn ap into place.
Unable to print Make sure that the printer is turned on and that there is paper in the tray. If you are stil l unable to print, try the following in order: 1. Check for error messages and resolve. 2. Disconnect and recon nect the U SB cable. 3. Verify that the pro duct is not pa used or offlin e.
