DRAM Interfac e The MCH provides optional Host bus error checking for data, addr ess, request and response signals.

MCH also provides optional data integri ty features including ECC in the memory array . Duri ng DRAM writes, ECC is generated on a QW ord (64 bit) basis.

43 2 System Board Memory Contro ller Hub (8240) Read/Write Buffers The MCH defines a data bufferi ng scheme to support the required level of concurrent op erations and provide ade q uate sustained bandwidth between the DRAM subsy stem and all other sy stem interfaces (CPU, AGP and PC I).
44 2 System Board PCI 64-bit Hub PCI 64-bit Hub The P64H is a peripheral chip that performs PCI bridging functions between t he MCH and the PCI 64-bit 66 MHz bus. The P64H has a 16-bit primary hub interface to the MCH and a secondary 64-bit PCI bu s interface.

94 5 HP BIOS HP/NBA B IOS Summar y Boot Menu The QuickBoot Mode option allows the sy stem to skip certain tests while booting. This decreases t he time needed to boot the sy stem . From this menu, you can also displ ay the option ROM messages. Enabling this option is recommended when installing an accessory card.
