8 Quick Start Guide 4. Installing the SIM Car d and Battery Make sure your device is turned off befor e installing the SIM card and battery. Y ou also need to remo ve the back cov er before y ou can install these components. T o remove the back cov er Hold the device with both hands and the front panel facing down.
Quick Start Guide 9 T o install the batter y Align the battery ’ s exposed copper contacts with the battery connectors inside the battery compar tment. Inser t the contact’ s side of the battery first and then gently push the battery into place. Replace the back cover .
10 Quick Start Guide 5. Charging the Ba ttery New batteries are shipped partially charged. Before y ou star t using your device, it is r ecommended that you install and charge the battery. T o charge the battery Connect the USB connector of the AC adapter to the sync connector at the bottom of your device .

By letting the device configure the data connection settings, you do not need to enter the settings f or GPRS and W AP manually .

The default home screen of the device is the T ouchFLO™ Home screen which allows finger-touch acc ess to the most important func tions such as contacts, text messages, e-mail, Internet, and more.
