30 Getting to Know Your Mobile Phon e Using a microSD Card Installing the microSD Card 1. Remove the battery cover. 2. Insert the microSD card as shown in the diagram. Note: When inserting the microSD card, make sure that the gold contacts fa ce towards the front o f the phone.

Your PC w ill detect the microSD card as a removable disk. You can now tr ansfer files from your PC to your mobile phone’s microSD card.
32 Calling Calling To place a phone call, you can dial a number or touch a number in your contacts list, on a Web page, or from a document that contains a phone number. When you are on a call, you can either answer incoming calls or send them to your voicemail box.

40 Contacts Contacts The Contacts application enables you to save and manage information such as phone numbers and add resses of your contacts. After you save the contact information on your mobile phone, it gives you an easy access to the people with whom you want to communicate.
41 Contacts Importing Contacts from a SIM Card When you open the Contacts applicat ion for the first time, you are asked whether to import contact s from the SIM card to your phone. Select OK to import the contacts, or Cancel to import them later. 1. In the contacts list, press , and then touch More > Manage contacts .
42 Contacts Tip: In the contacts list, you can touch to add a new contact. 2. If you have more than one account with contacts, touch the account to which you want to add the contact. 3. Enter the contact's name, and then add any detailed information such as phone numbe r or address.

55 Messaging Messaging The Messaging application al lows you to exchange text messages (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS) with anyone using an SMS-or-MMS-capable phone. With the Email application you can read and send emails. SMS and MMS Opening Messaging • Touch on the Home screen.
56 Messaging 3. Touch the composition text box to start entering your message. If you press while composing a message, it is saved as a draft in your message list. Touch the message t o resume composing it . 4. Once you are done, touch Send . The message list opens, and your name appear s in the list, followed by the m essage you just sent.

88 Google Services Google Services When you turn on your mobile phon e for the first time, touch a Google services such as Talk , Gmail , or Market , and you will be prompted to sign in to your Google account. Note: Ensure that your mobi le phone has an acti ve data connection (3 G/GPRS) before you sign in t o your Google account .
