4 1 • G e t t i n g R e a d y T o install a ceiling fan, b e sure you can do the following: • Locate the ceiling joist or othe r suitable supp ort in ceiling . • Drill holes for and install wo od screws . • Identif y and connect electrical wires.
5 2 • I n s t a l l i n g t h e C e i l i n g P l a t e CAU TION: T o avoid possible ele ctrical shock , before installing your fan, disconnect the p ower by t ur ning off the cir cuit bre akers t o the outlet box and asso ciated wall swit ch lo cation.

8 5 • I n s t a l l i n g t h e C a n o p y a n d C a n o p y Tr i m R i n g Step 5-2 Canopy T rim Ring Canopy Ceiling Pla te Canopy Screw Steps 5-4 – 5-5 Should you nee d to re move the canopy trim ring , foll ow these steps: 1. Locate the tab indicators, small bumps on top of tabs.
9 6 • A s s e m b l i n g t h e B l a d e s Hunte r fans use s everal styles of f an blade irons (bracke ts that hold the blade to the fan). 6-1. Y our fan may include blade grommets. If your f an has gromme ts , insert them by hand in to the holes on the blades.

11 11 7-5. T o attach the lower switch housing, conne ct the upper plug connector from the motor to t he lower plug connector in the lower switc h housing ass embly . Note: Both plug conne ctors ar e polarized and will only fit toget her one way . Make sure the connectors ar e properly aligned before connecting them.
12 Installing the Gl ass Bowl 1. First install two B10 candelabra bulbs (60 Wa tt Maximum) into the so ck ets. 2. Attach t he extra pull chain (included) to the fan pull chain using the plastic brea kaway connector . (Y ou ma y find the plastic breaka way connector on the end of the extra chain.

14 Problem: No thing happens; f an does no t move. 1. T urn p ower on, r eplace fuse , or reset br eaker . 2. Loosen canopy, c heck all connections according t o the wiring the fan se ction. 3. Check the plug connection in the swit ch housing . 4. P ush motor reversing s witch firml y left or right to ensur e tha t the switc h is engaged.
