1 1 Engli sh IF SOMEONE C OMES 1. Guard against hazardous situations at all times. W arn adults to keep pets and children away from the area. Be careful if you are approached . Injur y may result from flying debris. 2. If someone calls out or other wise interrupts you while working, always be sure to turn off the engine before turning around.
1 2 Engli sh • G asoline is ver y flammable. Av oid smok ing or bringing any flame or sparks near fuel. Make sure to stop the engine and allow it cool before refueling the unit. Select outdoor bare ground for fueling and move at least 3m (10ft) away from the fueling point before starting the engine.
1 3 Engli sh • Avoid pulling the rope to its end or returning it by releasing the knob. Such ac tions can cause star ter failures. 7. Move the choke lev er to the open position. And pull out the starter rope quickly to restar t engine . 8. Allow the engine to warm up for a couple of minutes before starting operation.
1 4 Engli sh AD JUSTING IDLING SP E ED • Before adjusting the carburetor , clean the air filter and warm up the engine. • Idle screw is adjusted in order to ensure a good safety margin between idle running and clutch engagement . With the engine idling (3000 rpm), the blade should not move.
1 5 Engli sh AIR F IL TER • T he air filter , if clogged, will reduce the engine per f ormance. Check and clean the filt er element in warm, soapy water as required . Dry completely before installing. If the element is broken or shrunk , replace with a new one.
1 6 Engli sh INT AKE AIR C OOLING VENT • Never touch the c ylinder , muffler , or spark plugs with your bare hands immediately after stopping the engine. The engine can become ver y hot when in operation, and doing so could result in sever e bur ns.
