GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS 6 – English Impor tant P ersonal protective equipment HEARING PR O TECTION Wear hearing protection that provides adequate noise reduction. EYE PRO TECTION Alwa ys wear approved e ye protection. If you use a visor then you must also w ear approved protectiv e goggles.

GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS 8 – English Stop s witch Use the stop s witch to switch off the engine . Star t the engine and make sure the engine stops when you mov e the stop switch to the stop setting.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS English – 9 Nev er use a machine that has a faulty muffler . Regularly check that the muffler is securely attached to the machine. Blades T o ensure good cutting results it is impor tant that the contact pressure between the blades is correct.
FUEL HANDLING 10 – English Fuel safety Nev er star t the machine: 1 If you ha ve spilt fuel on it. Wipe off the spillage and allow remaining fuel to e vaporate. 2 If you ha ve spilt fuel on yourself or y our clothes, change your clothes. W ash any par t of your body that has come in contact with fuel.
FUEL HANDLING English – 11 Mixing • Alwa ys mix the petrol and oil in a clean container intended for fuel. • Alwa ys star t by filling half the amount of the petrol to be used. Then add the entire amount of oil. Mix (shake) the fuel mixture. Add the remaining amount of petrol.
ST AR TING AND ST OPPING 12 – English Check bef ore star ting • Inspect the working area. Remove an y objects that could be thrown out. • Check the cutting attachment. Ne ver use blades that are dull, crack ed or damaged. • Check that the machine is in perf ect working order.
ST AR TING AND ST OPPING English – 13 CA UTION! Do not pull the star ter cord all the wa y out and do not let go of the star ter handle when the cord is fully extended. This can damage the machine. Stopping The engine is s witched off by moving the stop switch to the stop position.
W ORKING TECHNIQ UES 14 – English General working instructions P ersonal protection • Wear personal protectiv e equipment. See instr uctions under the heading ”P ersonal protective equipment”. • Alwa ys wear working clothes and heavy-duty long trousers.
W ORKING TECHNIQ UES English – 15 • When the engine is switched off , keep your hands and feet a way from the cutting attachment until it has stopped completely . • W atch out for stumps of branches that can be thrown out during cutting. • Do not cut too close to the ground.
MAINTENANCE 16 – English Carburettor Y our Husqv ar na product has been designed and manuf actured to specifications that reduce har mful emissions.
MAINTENANCE English – 17 cause fire if directed against dry and combustible material. Some mufflers are equipped with a special spark arrestor mesh. If your machine has this type of muffler , you should clean the mesh at least once a week. This is best done with a wire brush.
MAINTENANCE 18 – English CA UTION! Always use the recommended spark plug type! Use of the wrong spark plug can damage the piston/ cylinder . Check that the spark plug is fitted with a suppressor .
