2 – English INTR ODUCTION Dear customer! Cong ratulations on y our choice to buy a Husqv ar na product! Husqvarna is based on a tradition that dates bac k to 1689, when the Swedish King Karl XI ordered the construction of a factory on the banks of the Huskvarna River , f or production of muskets .

6 – English SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS Vibration damping system Y our machine is equipped with a vibration damping system that is designed to reduce vibration and mak e operation easier . Muffl er The m uffler is designed to keep noise le v els to a minimum and to direct e xhaust fumes awa y from the user .
English – 7 SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS • Regularly check that the muffler is securely attached to the machine. • The muffler on y our machine is equipped with a spar k arrestor mesh; this must be cleaned regularly . See the heading Muffler in the Maintenance chapter .
8 – English SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS • Ensure the machine is cleaned and that a complete ser vice is carried out before long-term storage. Adjusting the harness A correctly adjusted harness and machine significantly f acilitates the work. Adjust the har ness to giv e the best working position.

English – 11 ASSEMBL Y Assembling the blo w pipe and contr ol handle • Loosen the two scre ws on the fan’ s outlet pipe and remov e the two wear ring halves located on the outlet pipe. • Place these on the pipe bend so that the guide on the wear ring halves aligns with the slot on the pipe bend.
12 – English FUEL HANDLING Fuel CA UTION! The machine is equipped with a two-strok e engine and must alwa ys been run using a mixture of gasoline and two-strok e engine oil. It is impor tant to accurately measure the amount of oil to be mix ed to ensure that the correct mixture is obtained.
English – 13 ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Star ting and stopping Cold engine Ignition: Set the stop s witch to the star t position. Star t position is achie ved b y moving the stop s witch slightly backw ards (356BT) or downwards (356BF) until the stop s witch clicks into star t position.
14 – English MAINTENANCE Carb uretor Y our Husqvarna product has been designed and manuf actured to specifications that reduce har mful emissions. After the engine has used 8-10 tanks of fuel the engine will be run-in.
English – 15 MAINTENANCE Muffler The muffler is designed to reduce the noise le vel and to direct the e xhaust gases awa y from the operator . The e xhaust gases are hot and can contain sparks, which ma y cause fire if directed against dr y and comb ustible material.
16 – English MAINTENANCE Air filter The air filter must be regularly cleaned to remov e dust and dir t in order to av oid: • Carburettor malfunctions • Star ting problems • Loss of engine power • Unnecessar y wear to engine parts • Excessive fuel consumption.
