The Husqvarna A uto Mower is designed to off er user friendliness, high operating saf ety and a long ser vice life. A uto Mower has been b uilt to mow areas that contain slopes and confined passages as well as man y trees and bushes .

English- 10 PRESENTATION Function A uto Mower W orking method The A uto Mow er automatically mows the la wn. It con- tinuously combines mo wing and charging. When the A uto Mow er works on a lawn, it simulta- neously stores inf ormation about how the garden is shaped.
English- 11 PRESENTATION The ST OP button on the top of A uto Mow er is mainly used to stop the mow er when it’ s r unning. When the ST OP button is pressed a cov er opens, behind which there is a control panel. The ST OP button remains depressed until the cov er is closed again.
English- 12 PRESENTATION Movement pattern The mow er’ s mov ement patter n is irregular and is determined by the A uto Mower itself . A mov ement pat- tern is nev er repeated. This mowing system means the lawn is mo wn equally without any mowing lines.
English- 13 INSTALLATION Installation This chapter describes how you install the A uto Mower . Bef ore star ting the installation read the previous chap- ter ”Presentation” on page 9 to page 12. The installation should be carried out according to the follo wing steps: A.

English- 15 INSTALLATION B. Planning the installation Charging station First and f oremost the charging station should be posi- tioned: • Centrally in the main area, along the outer edge and with a large free area in front of the station. • In the shadow .
English- 16 INSTALLATION Plan the position of the charging station according to the shape of your garden. The A uto Mow er can be set f or one of three basic gar- den shapes (see page 34). The A uto Mow er works differently depending on the garden shape the mow er has been set to .
English- 17 INSTALLATION • Comple x 2 is a large lawn area with man y obstacles and passages. Do not put the charging station in a corner or pocket in the working area. If the garden consists of two large la wns joined by a passage, it ma y be dif fi cult for the A uto Mower to fi nd the entrance to the passage .
English- 18 INSTALLATION Boundary wire F or a successful installation the placement of the boundar y wire should be planned carefully . Planning is simpli fi ed if you mak e a sketch of the working area, including all obstacles. Dr aw ho w the boundar y wire should be routed on the sketch.
English- 19 INSTALLATION Remember the f ollowing with regard to the w orking area boundaries: • If a high obstacle, f or example a w all or f ence, bor- ders the working area, the boundar y wire should be laid 35 cm from the obstacle. This will pre vent the A uto Mow er from colliding with the obstacle and reduce body wear .
English- 20 INSTALLATION Remeber the f ollowing with regard to the w orking area boundaries: • The A uto Mow er can mow areas with a gr adient of up to 1: 3 (33 cm/m) inside the working area. Areas that slope more must be demarcated b y the bound- ar y wire.
English- 21 INSTALLATION • In order f or the loop system to work well, the wires in passages where the A uto Mow er is to run through must not lie too close together . A passage should be at least 2 metres wide so the A uto Mow er can fi nd it and make its w a y through it.
English- 22 INSTALLATION D . Char ging the batter y The A uto Mow er is supplied with an uncharged batter y . As soon as the charging station is connected, it is pos- sible to charge the mo wer . 1. Place the A uto Mow er in the charging station to charge batter y while you are la ying the boundar y wire.
English- 23 INSTALLATION F . Connecting the boundary wire Connect the boundar y wire to the charging station: 1. Lift up the cov er on the charging station: • Grip under the edge of the cov er with both hands and pull straight out to wards the sides .
English- 24 INSTALLATION 3. Place the cable ends in the connector: • Open the connector . • Place the wire in the connector grip . 4. Press the connector together using a pair of pliers. Press until you hear a clic k. 5. Cut off any surplus boundar y wire.
English- 25 INSTALLATION 7. Re fi t the cov er on the charging station. Ensure the three guides on the charging station enter the right holes in the cov er . G. Checking the installation Check the loop signal b y looking to see what indication the green LED on the charging station is giving.
English- 26 CONTROL PANEL Contr ol panel On the top of the A uto Mow er there is a control panel under a cov er . Open the cov er by pressing the ST OP button. Close the co ver by sliding it f orward until a clic k is heard. The click is heard when the ST OP button returns to the operating mode.
English- 27 CONTROL PANEL Shortcuts 1. Home: • Sends the mow er to the charging station. Where it sta ys until the button is pressed again. The house icon is lit on the right-hand side of the displa y when the button is pressed. • Mov e the cursor in the menu structure back to the main page.

There are a number of submenus under each option. Y ou can access all the functions to set the A uto Mow er settings via these.
English- 30 MENU FUNCTIONS 1. Commands Via this selection in the main menu y ou access the main A uto Mow er functions. Select among the sub- menus: • Charge then A UT O (1-1) in order f or the A uto Mow er to drive immediately to the charging station, charge the batter y and then return to the automatic operating mode.
English- 31 MENU FUNCTIONS Day timer (2-2) It is possible to set tw o diff erent star t and stop times for each da y . Enter the required time in hours and min- utes. • Reset all timers (2-2-1) T o delete all set times: Select the function and press YES when the cursor is on ” Ye s ” .
English- 32 MENU FUNCTIONS 3. Installation Via this option in the main menu y ou access the driving settings. Select among the submen us: • Charge exit settings (3-1) to set how f ar the Auto Mo wer should re verse out of the charging station bef ore it turns and in what direction the mow er should leav e the charging sta- tion.
English- 33 MENU FUNCTIONS Also use begin and end angle 2 in the menu ” Custom- ized ” if you w ant to use two sectors . Use the function ” Propor tion fi rst ” as well to state a percentage to determine how often the Auto Mo wer should leav e the charging station in sector 1.
English- 34 MENU FUNCTIONS Drive past wire (3-2) The front of the A uto Mow er alwa ys passes the bound- ar y wire by a speci fi c distance bef ore the mower turns. The def ault distance is 27 cm, but this can be changed if required. • T o adjust the distance: Mov e the cursor to ” Dr ive past wire ” and press YES .
English- 35 MENU FUNCTIONS 4. Settings Via this option in the main menu y ou access the av ail- able settings . Select among the submenus: • Security (4-1) to make settings concerning the PIN code, stop protection, settings lock and alarms. The PIN code must be stated f or the ” Secur ity ” menu to be sho wn.
English- 36 MENU FUNCTIONS • Time lock (4-1-2) This function par tly inv olv es the A uto Mow er stop- ping to mow after a predetermined number of da ys and not continuing until the correct PIN code has been entered, and par tly that the PIN-code must be entered when the main s witch is set to the ON posi- tion.
English- 37 MENU FUNCTIONS Sounds (4-2) A number of audio messages are used to indicate what the A uto Mow er is currently doing. The sound lev els are graduated from le vel 4 (highest) to OFF (com- pletely quiet).
English- 38 MENU FUNCTIONS User info le vel (4-3) Selecting the user inf o le v el inv olves determining how much inf or mation should be shown on the displa y when the main s witch is set in the ON position. The basic user inf o le v el means less inf ormation on the dis- pla y than in the adv anced user inf o le v el.
English- 39 MENU FUNCTIONS Language (4-4) Using this function you can change the language selection you made when the A uto Mower w as fi rst star ted. T o select the language: Mov e the cursor to ” Language ” and press YES. Now Mo v e the cursor to the required language and press YES.
English- 40 USE Use Charging a disc harged battery When the A uto Mow er is new or has been stored f or a long period the batter y will not be charged and needs to be charged bef ore star ting. Charging takes between 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 hours. 1. Place the A uto Mow er in the charging station.
English- 41 USE Using the timer Mow the la wn as much as you lik e when you lik e. Use the timer function (see ” 2. Timer ” on page 30) to av oid a down trodden la wn and to get the maximum life from your A uto Mower . F or e xample, the quality of y our lawn will improv e if it is mown e very other day instead of 12 hours each da y .
English- 42 USE Adjusting the cutting height The cutting height is calculated as the distance from the ground in centimetres . The cutting height can be v aried using 10 different positions from MIN (2 cm) to MAX (6 cm). If the grass is long it is appropriate to let A uto Mower star t mowing at the MAX cutting height.
English- 43 MAINTENANCE Maintenance Check and clean the A uto Mower regularly and replace worn par ts if necessar y to improv ed operating reliabil- ity and to giv e a longer ser vice life . During the initial per iod of A uto Mower use the b lade disc, skid plate and b lades should be checked once a week.
English- 44 MAINTENANCE Cleaning Ne v er use a high-pressure washer or e ven running water to clean the A uto Mower . W e recommended a spra y bottle with water . Underframe and blade disc 1. Set the main s witch to the OFF position. 2. W ear protectiv e glov es.
English- 45 MAINTENANCE Replacing the blade units There are three blade units on the b lade disc. Each unit consists of a screw , a b lade and a lock washer . Alwa ys replace all three blade units at the same time, to obtain a balanced mowing system. 1.
