For y our saf ety NEVER ● Allow children to pla y with or otherwise interfere with the dry er . NEVER ● Allow the air inlet at the bac k of the dr yer , the air outlet or v ent hose to be obstructed. NEVER ● Direct the vent hose outlet to wards the air intake at the bac k of the machine.
For y our safety AL W A YS ● When the dr y er is not in use, s witch off at the wall, remov e plug and close the door . AL W A YS ● Comply with the specified electrical requirements. AL W A YS ● Ensure that your dryer is installed correctly and has adequate ventilation.

7 Ho w to use y our dryer 1. Plug in, s witch on electricity . 2. Sor t your laun- dr y (see section “Sor ting Y our Laundr y”) 3. Open the door . Check that the fluff filter is clean (see section How to remov e and clean the fluff filter).
8 Sor ting y our laundr y 1. Alwa ys separate laundry into the correct fabric groups bef ore washing and drying. 2. See that all zips are closed, hooks and eyes are f astened and belt, strings etc. are tied loosely in bows, y ou will nor mally h ave done this f or each item before the washing stage .
9 W ash Care Labels Most of toda y’s f abr ics can be tumble dried in y our Dr yer with no trouble at all, b ut there are cer tain fabric finishes which should be dried awa y from direct heat. The majority of gar ments now ha ve w ash-care labels on them, giving full washing and drying instr uctions .
10 Items requiring special attention The dr ying requirements of b lankets and bedspreads will, of cou rse, vary tremendously according to size and weight. Some , howe ver ar e simply too big. if you hav e difficulty getting them into the Dr y er, the machine will hav e difficulty dr ying them properly .
11 The Contr ols G31VU T urn the Timer cloc kwise to select the required dr ying time. The dr ying time f or both heat settings is controlled by the timer . All you hav e to do is tur n the Timer Control clockwise slightly past th e required time and then back to the required time .
12 Please note that the Dr ying Times stated below and on appliance control panel are a GUIDE only and dr ying times are aff ected by : Items such as towelling retain a lot of w ater after spinning, also the suggested wash progr amme for small items such as T -Shir ts ma y sometimes incor porate a lo w spin speed which has the same effect.
13 Ho w to remo ve and c lean the fluff filter Caring f or y our Dr y er T o remove the filter A very impor tant par t of y our dr yer is the fluff filter at the front edge of the drum. It’ s there to trap the par ti- cles of lint and fluff which are normally blown aw ay when clothes are dried on the washing-line.
14 If something goes wr ong First, don’t panic! There may be nothing wrong at all. Look f or your problem belo w , then check the things we suggest. More often than not, this will give y ou the answ er to your problem, and y ou’ll be able to carr y on without ha ving to telephone your Service Office.
15 If it still w on’t work... Spare par ts Disposal of y our pr oduct if something is still wrong with your machine after y ou’ve been through the check-list on the pre vious page: 1.
