Entering the vehicle If ke yless entry has been specified, operation of a lock ed door handle or pressing the luggage compar tment release button will allo w access if the Jaguar Smart Ke y is within approximately 39 inches (1m) of that entry point.
Engine start stop 3 Opening the trunk With the vehicle loc ked and alarm armed: • Press the trunk compar tment button on the Jaguar Smart Ke y . With the vehicle unloc ked or loc ked b ut alarm not armed: • Press the button on the f acia. Alternatively , press the release button located beneath the trunk compar tment chrome finisher .
Operating note T o prev ent automatic mov ement of the steering column, turn the control to the COLUMN position. Comf or t adjustments Steering wheel adjustment Seat adjustment Dependent on vehicle specification, seats can be adjusted in up to 16 directions.
Operating note A seat position will only be memorised during the five second period that the LED is illuminated. Any e xisting settings will be ov er-written when programming a memory position. 5 Windows and door mirr or s Driving position memory Windows The windows can be fully opened or closed with a single operation of the s witch.
Comf or t adjustments Seat belts P assenger air bag deactiv ation The front passenger seat occupancy sensor determines the state of seat occupancy and sets the air bag status to suit: • Seat unoccupied - air bag deactivated and indicator off. • Seat occupied - air bag activated and indicator off.

9 W arning lamps Exterior lamps/T rip computer Mov e the lev er up or down to oper ate the direction indicators, f orward f or high beam and backw ards for high beam flash. Rotate the collar to the first position to select side lamps. Second position is headlamps.
10 Driving JaguarDrive Selector When the engine is star ted, the selector will rise from the center console. Gearshift interloc k The brake pedal m ust be depressed before the selector can be mov ed from the P ark position. Select P before s witching off the engine.
11 Driving JaguarDrive Contr ol JaguarDrive Control giv es the driver an opportunity to fine tune the driving characteristics of the vehicle. This is achiev ed by selecting from the f ollowing driving modes. Winter mode and Dynamic modes cannot be active simultaneously .
Cruise (speed) control and A CC 1 . SET - use to set the road speed to be maintained or increase/decrease the speed in 1 mph (2 km/h) steps when cruise control is operating. 2 . RESUME - use to resume a set speed retained in memory . 3 . CANCEL - cancels cruise control but retains the set speed in memory .
13 1. Press to activate . There are four sensitivity settings and the message center will confirm which setting is selected. The setting can be changed by using the GAP control 2 while ACC is not engaged. The system will display w arnings in the message center and give a w arning tone even if ACC is not engaged.
14 Driving P arking aids Cancelling the pop-up screen T o retur n to the previous screen bef ore par king aid is automatically cancelled, touch the screen within the pop-up area. Parking aid care points Sensors may activ ate when water , snow or ice are detected on the surface of the sensors .

Steering wheel controls 1. Rotate to adjust volume . 2. Rotate and release to scroll through preset radio stations or CD trac ks. Rotate and hold for tw o seconds to select the next strong radio station or ne xt loaded CD . 3. Press to mute audio unit.
17 T elephone Bluetooth® phones Compatible Bluetooth cell phones can communicate with the inbuilt telephone system. Connection must be made with ignition on or engine running. Use the follo wing procedure in conjunction with your Bluetooth phone manuf acturer's instr uctions.
18 Navigation Navigation Setting a destination 1. F rom the navigation Menu screen, select Destination Entry . 2. T ouch either Address or P ostcode . 3. With Address selected, touch T own then use the on-screen ke ypad to enter address details. As each part of the address is display ed, select from the list to confirm.
19 A variety of settings can be personalised by selecting V ehicle from the Home men u. T rip computer Distance, A verage Speed, A verage fuel consumption, Range for T rip A and B and Reset. Clock adjust Set time or alter time display from 12 hour to 24 hour mode.
Fuel filler flap location Fuel filler flap release The filler flap can only be opened when the vehicle is unloc ked. Press the flap approximately 1 inch (25mm) from the left hand edge to release. Filler cap T wist the cap counter-clockwise to undo . The cap is secured to the vehicle b y a strap .
