3 Cautions Read Before Using Your UltraCam™ 1. You must install the camer a driver BEFORE connecting the camera to your com puter. 2. Be sure to insert the batteries pr operly according to polarity.

6 Software Installation Please note that you must install the software BEFORE you connect the camera to the USB port of your computer. 1. Insert the included CD in to the CD-ROM Drive of y our co mputer.
Getting Started 1. Install the software as described in “Software Installation ”. The software MUST be installed BEFORE the camera is connected to your co mputer. 2. Install the batteries in your camera. a. Remove t he ba ttery com partment cove r as show n in the illustration.
8 Taking Pictures 1. Press the M ode butto n to turn on the cam era. 2. Press t he mode button twice to get to the flash On/Off screen. (FA) 3. Press t he shutter release bu tton to turn on the flash. (The flash is needed for mo st indoor pictures. No flash is needed for most outdoor pictures).
9 Viewing Pictures 1. Open the rubber co ver on the camera’s mini US B port. 2. Plug t he mi ni USB pl ug int o the m ini USB port on the cam era and plug the other end o f the US B cable into your com puter. 3. Double click on the GE UltraCam icon on the de sktop of your computer.

11 Using the Optional Features 1. OF a) This will turn the camera off. b) Press t he mode button until OF appears in the LCD screen. c) Press the shutter release button. 2. FA / Fo a) This will turn the flash on ( FA ) and off ( Fo ). b) Press t he mode button until FA or Fo appears in t he LCD screen.

22 Using NetMeeting with your cam era 1. Make sure the UltraCam™ driver has been installed. 2. Plug the cam era into any US B port on your co mputer . 3. Open NetMeeting using the instru ctions above. 4. Set-up NetMeeting using the inst ructions a bove if necessary .

24 Trouble Shooting 1. Camera will not turn on • Check to make sure the b atteri es are properly installed. • Make sure the batteries are good. 2. Flash will not work • Check to see if th e flash was turned on. See the “T ak ing and V iewing Pictures” section.
