KEY FOB Locking And Unlocking The Doors/Liftgate • Press the LOCK button once to lock all the doors and the liftgate. Pr ess the UNLOCK button once to unlock the driver’ s door only and twice within five seconds to unlock all the doors and the liftgate.
WARNING! • Do not start or run an engine in a cl osed garage or confined area. Exhaust gas contains Carbon Monoxide (CO) which is odorl ess and col orles s. Carbon Mono xide is poisonous and can cause serious injury or death when inhaled. • Keep Key F ob transmitters away fr om children.
CHILD RESTRAINTS • Children 12 years and under should ride properly buckled up in a rear seat, if available. According to crash statistics, children are safer when properly restrained in the rear seats rather than in the front.
• Tighten all three straps as you push the child restr aint rearward and downward into the seat. WARNING! • Improper installation of a child restraint to the LA T CH anchorages c an l ead to failur e of an infant or child r estraint. The child could be sever el y injured or kill ed.
FRONT SEA TS WARNING! Adjusting a seat while the vehicl e is moving is dangerous. The sudden movement of the seat could cause y ou t o lose c ontr ol. The seat belt might not be pr operly adjusted, and you c ould be severel y injured or killed. Only adjust a seat while the vehicl e is park ed.
Lumbar Support • Rotate the lumbar lev er , located on the inboard side of the seat, downward to increase and upward to decrease the desired amount of lumbar support. Driver’s Power Seat • The power seat switch, located on the outboard side of the seat near the floor , controls forward/back, up/down, and tilt adjustment.
CAUTION! DO NOT place any article under a power seat or impede its ability to move as it may cause damage t o the seat contr ols. Seat travel may become limited if mo vement is stopped by an obstruction in the seat’s path. F old-Flat F r ont P assenger Seat • The front passenger seat can be folded flat to allow for extended cargo space.
REAR SEA TS 60/40 Split Folding Rear Seat With F old-Flat Featur e • Each rear seatback can be folded flat or reclined. T o Low er Rear Seatback • With the front seats fully upright and positioned forward, pull the r elease strap toward the front of the vehicle and fold the rear seatback completely forward.
HEA TED SEA TS F r ont Heated Seats • The controls for front heated seats ar e located near the bottom center of the instrument panel (below the heater/air conditioning controls). • Press the switch once to select High-le vel heating. Press the switch a second time to select Low-level heating.
TIL T STEERING COLUMN • The tilt lever is located on the steering column, below the turn signal lever . • Push down on the lever to unlock the steering column. • With one hand firmly on the steering wheel, move the steering column up or down as desired.
Key Fob Pr ogr ammable Featur es • The following features may also be programmed by using the Key Fob transmitter or the ignition switch and driver's door lock switch. NOTE: Pr essing the LOCK button while you are inside the v ehicle will activate the V ehicle Security Alarm.
TURN SIGNAL/LIGHTS LEVER Headlights/Parking Lights • Rotate the end of the lever to the first detent for parking lights , the second detent for headlights and the third detent for AUTO . • When set to AUTO , the system automatically turns the headlights on or off based on ambient light levels.
T urn Signals/Lane Change Assist • T ap the lever up or down once and the tur n signal (right or left) will flash three times and automatically turn off.
SPEED CONTROL LEVER Cruise ON/OFF • Push the ON/OFF button to activate the Speed Control. • CRUISE will appear on the instrument cluster to indicate the Speed Contr ol is on. • Push the ON/OFF button a second time to turn the system off. WARNING! Leaving the El ectr onic Speed Control system on when not in use is dangerous.
MANUAL CLIMA TE CONTROLS Air Recir culation • Use recirculation for maximum A/C operation. • For window defogging, turn the r ecirculation button of f.
Air Conditioning • If the air conditioning button is pr essed while in the AUTO mode, the indicator light ma y flash three times to indicate the cabin air is being contr olled automatically . Air Recir culation • Use recirculation for maximum A/C operation.
POWER SUNROOF • The power sunroof switch is located on the overhead console. WARNING! • Never leave children in a vehicl e with the key in the ignition switch. Occupants, particularly unattended children, can become entrapped by the power sunroof while operating the power sunroof switch.
SKY SLIDER ® ROOF • Press and release the top AUTO button, located in the center of the headliner , to automatically open the Sky Slider ® from the front. • Press and quickly release the bottom AUTO button to automatically open the Sky Slider ® from the rear .

Media Center 230 (REQ) NOTE: Uconnect™ Phone and V oice Command ar e vehicle options which must be ordered separately . The buttons on the r adio will only be activ e if the vehicle has been equipped with the option. • Y our r adio has many features that add to the comfort and convenience of you and your passengers.
Auxiliary Mode • The auxiliary (AUX) jack allows a portable de vice, such as an MP3 player or a cassette player , to be plugged into the radio and utilize the v ehicle’ s audio system to amplify the source and play through the vehicle speakers. • Pressing the AUX button will change the mode to auxiliary device if the AUX jack is connected.
NA VIGA TION TOUCH-SCREEN RADIO NOTE: Uconnect™ Phone and V oice Command ar e vehicle options which must be ordered separately . The buttons on the r adio will only be activ e if the vehicle has been equipped with the option. • The radio sales code is located on the lower right side of the radio faceplate.
Clock Setting Manuall y Adjust Time • T urn the r adio on, then touch the scr een where the time is displayed. • T ouch the USER CLOCK soft-k ey . • T o adjust the hours, touch either the HOUR FORW ARD or HOUR BACKW ARD soft-key . • T o adjust the minutes, touch either the MINUTE FORW ARD or MINUTE BACKW ARD soft-key .
Cleaning Y our T ouch-Screen Radio • Do not spray any liquid or caustic chemicals directly on the screen. Use a clean and dry micro fiber lens cleaning cloth in or der to clean the touch-screen.
Guide Me Home • Press the NA V hard-key to access the Navigation Main Menu. • T ouch the GUIDE ME HOME soft-key to route you back to your home destination from your current location. T ouch the GO soft-key to start y our trip. Map • Press the NA V hard-key to access the Navigation Main Menu.
UNIVERSAL GARAGE DOOR OPENER (HomeLink ® ) Pr ogramming HomeLink ® Begin Progr amming • The HomeLink ® buttons are located in the overhead console. • Erase all channels before you begin progr amming by holding the two outside buttons for up to 20 seconds until the r ed indicator flashes.
Pr ogramming A Rolling Code System • At the garage door opener motor (in the garage), locate the “lear n” or “programming” button. This can usually be found wher e the hanging antenna wire is attached to the garage door opener motor (it is NO T the button normally used to open and close the door).
WARNING! • Any voic e commanded sys tem should be used onl y in saf e driving conditions foll owing local laws and phone use. All attention should be kept on the r oadway ahead. Failur e to do so may r esult in an accident causing you and others to be sever el y injured or kill ed.
Phonebook (Uc onnect™ Local) Edit • Press the Phone button . • (After the BEEP), say “phonebook”. • (After the BEEP), say “new entry” or “list names” or “delete”. • Follow the prompts. Receiving A Call – Accept (And End) • When an incoming call rings/is announced on Uconnect™, press the Phone button .
Changing The Volume • Start a dialogue by pressing the V oice Command button , then say a command (for example, “tutorial”). • Use the radio ON/OFF VOLUME rotary knob to adjust the volume to a comfortable level while the V oice Command system is speaking.
FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE OPERA TION WARNING! • Y ou or other s could be injur ed if you leave the vehicle unattended with the transf er case in the NEUTRAL position without first fully engaging the parking brake.

CARGO AREA FEA TURES Car go Load Floor • The cargo load floor system has a load capacity of 400 lbs (181 kg). The load floor has a built-in stor age bin that can hold a variety of items. The underside of the storage bin cover also contains a plastic-lined tray .

RECREA TIONAL TOWING (BEHIND MOTORHOME, ETC.) T owing – T wo-Wheel Drive Models • Recreational towing is allowed ONL Y if the driveshaft is removed. T owing with the rear wheels on the ground while the driveshaft is connected can r esult in severe transmission damage.
BRAKE/TRANSMISSION INTERLOCK MANUAL OVERRIDE • The manual override may be used in the event that the shift lever should fail to move from P ARK with the Key Fob in the ON/RUN position and the brake pedal pressed.
24-HOUR TOWING ASSIST ANCE - U.S. ONL Y • Dial toll-free 1-800-521-2779 or 1-800-363-4869 for Canadian residents. • Provide your name, vehicle identification number and license plate number . • Provide your location, including telephone number , fr om which you are calling.
• When the malfunction indicator is illuminated, the system may not be able to detect or signal low tire pressur e as intended. TPMS malfunctions may occur for a variety of reasons, including the installation of replacement or alternate tires or wheels on the vehicle that prevent the TPMS fr om functioning properly .
BRAKE - Brak e W arning Light • The Brak e War ning light illuminates when there is either a system malfunction or the parking brake is applied. If the light is on and the parking brake is not applied, it indicates a possible brake hydraulic malfunction, brake booster problem or an Anti-Lock Brak e System problem.
- Oil Pressur e Warning Light • This light indicates low engine oil pressure. If the light tur ns on while driving, stop the vehicle and shut off the engine as soon as possible. A chime will sound for four minutes when this light turns on. • We recommend you do not oper ate the vehicle or engine damage will occur .
F uel Cap/Loose Gas Cap Message • If a “gas cap” message (shown as gASCAP) appears, tighten the gas cap until a “clicking” sound is heard. • Press the odometer reset button to turn the message off. • If the message continues to appear for more than three days after tightening the gas cap, see your authorized service center .
CAUTION! Driving with a hot c ooling system could damage your vehicle. If the temperatur e gauge reads HOT (H), pull over and stop the vehicle. Idle the v ehicle with the air conditioner turned off until the pointer drops back into the normal range.
Jack Location • The scissor -type jack and tire changing tools are located in the left rear trim panel behind the second row seat. Spar e Tir e Sto wage • T o r emove the spare tire, remove the jack-handle components from the storage bin in the left rear trim panel and assemble them.
Jacking And Tire Changing Instructions WARNING! Car efully foll ow these tire changing pr ocedur es to help pr e vent personal injury or damage to y our v ehicle: Always park on a firm, l evel surfac e as far from the edge of the roadway as pos sible befor e r aising the vehicl e.
WARNING! Raising the vehicl e higher than necessary can mak e the v ehicle les s stable and cause an ac cident. It could slip off the jack and hurt someone near it. Raise the vehicl e only enough to r emov e the tire. • Remove the lug nuts, wheel cover (if equipped) and the wheel.
JUMP-ST ARTING • If your vehicle has a discharged battery it can be jumpstarted using a set of jumper cables and a battery in another vehicle or by using a portable battery booster pack. • Jump-starting can be dangerous if done improperly so please follow the procedures in this section carefully .
Pr eparations f or Jump-Start • The battery in your vehicle is located in the front of the engine compartment, behind the left headlight assembly . NOTE: T he positive battery post is covered with a protective cap. Lift up on the cap to gain access to the positive battery post.
• Connect the negative end (-) of the jumper cable to the negative (-) post of the booster battery . • Connect the opposite end of the negativ e (-) jumper cable to a good engine ground (exposed metal part of the discharged vehicle’ s engine) away from the battery and the fuel injection system.

EVENT DA T A RECORDER (EDR) • This vehicle is equipped with an e vent data recorder (EDR). T he main purpose of an EDR is to record, in certain cr ash or near crash-like situations, such as an air bag deployment or hitting a road obstacle, data that will assist in understanding how a v ehicle’ s systems performed.
OPENING THE HOOD • Pull the release lever located below the instr ument panel and in front of the driver’ s door . • Raise the hood and locate the safety latch, in the middle of the hood opening. • Move the safety latch while lifting the hood at the same time.
