13 5. Mark the t raili ng end o f the stri p w here i t cros s e s the ri ght (inboard) end o f the drum (F i gure 13). 6. Rem ove t he abrasive stri p fr o m t he drum, and cut a taper as w a s done w i th the start ing edge (see Fi gure 10).
14 Groun ding Instru ctions Elect rical co nnection s must be mad e by a qu alified el ectrician i n comp liance wit h all relevan t codes. Th is machi ne must be p r o perly grou n d ed to h e l p preven t electri cal sho ck and po ssible fat al injur y.
15 Ext ensi on Co rds If an ex tension cor d i s necessary, m ake sure the cord r ating i s s uit able f or the a m perage listed on the m achine's m otor plat e . An undersize cor d w ill ca us e a dr op in l ine vo lt age resulti ng in loss of power and ov erheati ng.
16 Dust Cover Latc h The dust c o v er latc h pre v ents the dust c o v er from accidentall y opening. To release t he latch, press i nward on t he du s t cov er knob ( D, Fi gure 21 ). T h is w ill c au se th e d us t c over cen ter to fle x and rel eas e t he l atch.

22 Tracker Kit (98-0080) Tr ackers dram at i cally r educe tracki ng adjust- m ents o f conv eyor belt s . T hey are al ready instal l ed on your sander. The f ollowing inf ormati on i s for r e-setting or r eplacing your trac kers, should t hat becom e necessary.
