Installation ● This appliance is hea vy . Care should be tak en when mo ving it. ● Check your dishwasher f or any transport damage. Never connect a damaged machine. If your dishwasher is damaged, you should contact the J ohn Le wis branch from which y ou pur chased it.

W ARNING: A cut off plug inserted into a 13 amp socket is a serious safety (shock) hazar d. Ensure that the cut off plug is disposed of safely . The plug must still be accessible after the a ppliance has been installed. The appliance should not be connected to the electrical supply b y means of an extension cable.
The drain hose can face either to the right or left of the dishwasher Ensure the hose is not bent or squashed as this could pr event or slow down the discharge of water . The sink plug must not be in place when the machine is draining as this could cause the water to syphon back into the machine.
Digital displa y The digital displa y indicates: - the lev el of hardness to which the water softener is set, - if the dosage of rinse aid is activated/deactivated, - if the audible signals are activa.
Multi-tab function This appliance is equipped with the Multi-tab function, that allows the use of the combi detergent tablets with a combined cleaning, rinsing and salt function (“3 in 1”, “4 in 1” etc.
Audible signals Audible signals ha ve been intr oduced to help indicate which operations the dishwasher is performing: - setting of the water softener - end of pr ogramme - intervention of an alarm due to malfunction Deactivation/activation of the audible signals The dishwasher must be switched off Factory setting: audible signals activated 1.
Befor e using your dishwasher f or the first time: 1. Ensure that the electrical and water connections compl y with the installation instructions 2. Remov e all packaging fr om inside the appliance 3. Set the water softener 4. P our 1 litre of water inside the salt container and then fill with dishwasher salt 5.
b) Setting electr onically The dishwasher must be switched off NO TE: the electr onic setting of the water softener is possible ONL Y with the Multi-tab function deactivated. The dishwasher is factor y set at lev el 5. 1. Press the On/Off button. The indicator lights of the pr ogramme selection buttons will illuminate (setting mode).
Rinse aid Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thor ough rinsing, and spot and streak fr ee dr ying. The dispenser , which is positioned inside the door , holds about 110 ml of rinse aid, which is sufficient for 16 - 40 dishwashing pr ogrammes, depending upon the dosage setting.
● Check if it’ s necessar y to refill with dishwasher salt or rinse aid ● Load cutler y and dishes into the dishwasher . ● Fill with dishwasher detergent . ● Select a wash pr ogramme suitable for the cutler y and dishes. ● Start the wash programme.
Open the door and slide out the bask ets to load the dishes. The lo w er bask et The low er bask et is designed to tak e saucepans, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc . Ser ving dishes and large lids should be arranged ar ound the edge of the bask et, ensuring that the spra y arms can turn freely .
The upper bask et The upper bask et is designed for plates (dessert plates, saucers, dinner plates of up to 24 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups and glasses. Arrange items on and underneath the cup racks so that water can reach all surfaces. For taller items, the cup racks can be folded upwards.
Use of detergent Only use deterg ents specifically designed for use in dishwashers. Please obser ve the man ufacturer’ s dosing and storag e recommendations as stated on the detergent packa ging. Using no more than the cor rect amount of detergent contributes to r educing pollution.
Detergent tab lets Detergent tablets fr om differ ent manufactur es dissolve at differ ent rates. For this r eason, some detergent tablets do not attain their full cleaning pow er during short washing programmes. Theref ore please use long washing pr ogrammes when using detergent tablets, to ensure the complete r emoval of detergent residuals.

In this fully integrated appliance the contr ols are located on the top of the door . When selecting a programme, the door needs to be open. 1. Check that the bask ets ha v e been loaded corr ectly and that the spra y arms can r otate freel y 2. T urn on the water tap 3.
8. Unloading the dishwasher Hot dishes are sensitiv e to knocks. The dishes should theref ore be allo wed to cool do wn befor e remo ving fr om the appliance. Empty the low er bask et first and then the upper one; this will a void water dripping fr om the upper bask et onto the dishes in the low er one.
Clean the external surfaces of the machine and contr ol panel with a damp soft cloth. If necessar y use only neutral detergents. Nev er use abrasive pr oducts, scouring pads or solvent (acetone, trichlor oeth ylene etc....). Ensure that the seals ar ound the door , the detergent and rinse aid dispensers are cleaned r egularly with a damp cloth.

If you call out an engineer to a fault listed below , or to repair a fault caused by incorr ect use or installation, a charge will be made ev en if the appliance is under guarantee .
