6 Installation 1 It is dangerous to alter the specifications or attempt to modify this pr oduct in any wa y . 1 Care m ust be tak en to ensure that the appliance does not stand on its electrical supply cable. 1 Any electrical work r equired to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person.
7 Unpacking Wa r n i n g ! 1 Slide out the polystyrene bag containing the polysty- rene block bef ore using the appliance. Pull off adhe- sive strips fr om inside machine on top of drum.
8 Door r ev ersal 1 Wa r n i n g ! T h e d o o r m a y o n l y b e r e v e r s e d b y a specialist. Instructions for qualif ied personnel/spec ialist Wa r n i n g ! Before r ev ersing the door , disconnect the mains plug; with a permanent connection: remov e the fuse.
9 Electrical connection Any electrical w ork required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent per- son. 1 W ARNING – TH IS APPLIANCE MUST BE EAR THED . Should the appliance po wer supply cable need to be replaced, this must be car ried out by a Service Fo rc e ag ent (see pa ge 23) .

11 Changing a pr ogramme T o change a programme which has been selected by mistak e once the programme has started, first turn the programme selector to OFF and then reset the programme. The programme can no longer be changed directl y once the programme has started.

13 Using the tumb le dr y er 1 If the appliance was not transported in an upright po - sition, leav e it to stand for 12 hours before connect- ing it to the electricity supply and using it for the first time, so t hat the oil can flow back to the compres- sor .
14 Setting time dela y 3 With the DELA Y ST AR T button, you can dela y the star t of a programme by between 30 minutes ( 30 ' and a maximum of 23 hours ( 23h ). 1. Select the pr ogramme 2. Pr ess the DELA Y ST A R T button as many times as neces- sar y until the requir ed star t dela y appears on the multi displa y , e.

16 Maintenance and Cleaning Y ou must disconnect the appliance from the elec- tricity supply , befor e yo u can carry out any cleaning or maintenance w ork. External cleaning Use only soa p and water and then dr y thor oughly . Impor tant : Do not use meth ylated spirit, diluents or simi- lar products.
17 Cleaning the fluff filter If the indicator PLINTH FIL TER lights up , the fluff filter and the filter mat in the base of t he appliance must be cleaned. 3 T o protect the heat pump fr om dir t, the dr yer is fit- ted with a special f ilter mat, which is l ocated in the filter housing.
18 Emptying the water r eser voir Empty water reservoir after every dr ying cycle . If the water reservoir is full, an active pr ogramme will be in- terrupted automatically and the FULL T AN K displa y will light up. In order to continue the programme, the water reservoir must be emptied.
19 Pr ogramming options Objective Implementation Permanently pr ogramme on the audi- ble signal which reminds you that the programme is complete. 1. T urn the pr ogramme select or to any pr ogramme. 2. Press the ALARM button and hold down for appro x.
20 Something Not W orking If the tumble dr yer is not working cor rectly , pleas e carry out t h e following checks befor e contacting your local Ser vice Force Centr e. If, during operation, the err or code ( E plus number or letter) appears on the multi-displa y: Switch the appliance off and on again.
