6 Installation T echnical specifications It is danger ous to alter the specifications or attempt to modify this pr oduct in any wa y . Care m ust be tak en to ensure that the a ppliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable.
7 Unpacking All transit bolts and packing must be r emov ed befor e using the appliance. K eep all packaging a wa y from childr en. Y ou ar e advised to k eep all the transit bolts for r e-use in case the machine is to be transported again.
8 Plumbing In Y our new washing machine has been designed to be permanently plumbed in to y our home’ s water supply and drainage system. How ev er , if this is not possible , it ma y be connected to a suitable existing tap with the drain hose discharging into a sink.
9 Place the drain hose into your standpipe, which should ha ve an internal diameter of appr oximately 38mm thus ensuring there is an air br eak between the drain hose and standpipe. When discharging into a standpipe ensure that the top of the standpipe is no more than 90cm (35.
10 Sprung wooden floors ar e par ticularly susceptible to vibration. For advice, consult a builder . If possible, alwa ys place the machine on a solid floor .

12 1 Detergent dispenser dra wer 2 Pr ogramme selector dial The pr ogramme selector dial is divided into the following sections: • Cottons • Synthetics • Delicates / Silk • W ool / Hand washin.
13 ● The washing machine has stopped with water in the tub , at the end of the “ Soak ” or of a pr ogramme with the “ Rinse hold ” or “ Quiet ” option: this is indicated by a flashing z er o . The Start/Pause light goes out but the “Door lock” pilot light is still on.
14 Child lock This function works in tw o different wa ys: ● If enabled befor e the « Start/Pause » button is pressed, it pr events the machine fr om being started. ● If enabled after pressing the « Start/P ause » button, it pre vents any changes being made to the pr ogrammes or options selected .
15 11 “Dela y star t” button Befor e y ou star t the pr ogramme , if y ou wish to dela y the star t, pr ess the Dela y Star t button r epeatedly , to select the desired dela y . The selected dela y time value (up to 20 hours) will appear on the displa y for about 3 seconds, then the duration of the pr ogramme will appear again.

17 Using the washing machine Befor e the first wash, we r ecommend that you run a cotton cycle at 90°C , without an y laundr y in the machine, to remov e any man ufacturing residue fr om the drum and tub. P our 1/2 a measure of detergent into the dispenser dra wer and start the machine .
18 6. Select the spin speed, “No Spin”, “Rinse hold” or “Quiet” option Press the “ Spin ” button r epeatedly in order to select the desired spin speed, “No Spin”, “Rinse hold” or “Quiet” option.
19 11. Ho w to change an option or a pr ogramme during its cycle It is possible to change any option bef ore the pr ogramme carries it out. Befor e you mak e any change, you m ust pause the washing machine by pr essing the “ Star t/P ause ” button.

24 Maintenance and cleaning Y ou must DISCONNECT the appliance from the electricity supply , before you can carr y out an y cleaning or maintenance work . Descaling The water we use normall y contains lime. It is a good idea to periodically use a water softening powder in the machine.
25 • When no more water comes out, unscre w the pump cov er and remo ve it. Al wa ys keep a rag nearb y to dr y up spillage of water when remo ving the cov er . • Remov e any objects fr om the pump impeller by r otating it. • Put the cap back on the emergency emptying hose and place the latter back in its seat.
26 Something not w orking Please carry out the follo wing checks befor e contacting your local Service For ce agent. IMPOR T ANT: if y ou call out an engineer to a fault listed belo w , or to repair a fault caused b y incorr ect use or installation, a charge will be made e ven if the appliance is under guarantee.
27 Symptom The door will not open Solution ● The water lev el is above the bottom edge of the door . ● The machine is heating the water . ● The drum is turning. In any case the door can be opened onl y when the “Door lock” light has gone out.
