34 EN Features For Recor ding LED Light LED Light can be used to brighten the subject in the dark place during video recording or D .S.C. shooting. Press LIGHT repeatedly to change the setting. The light is on alwa ys. The light turns on automatically when dark.
EN 35 Features For Recor ding ENGLISH 1 3 4 5 5 4 Manual Focus The camcorder’ s Full Range AF system offers continuous shooting ability from close-up (as close as approx. 5 cm to the subject) to infi nity . Howe ver , correct focus may not be obtained depending on the shooting condition.
36 EN Features For Recor ding Note: Using Backlight Compensation ma y cause the light around the subject to become too bright and the subject to become white. Spot Exposure Control Selection of a spot metering area enables more precise exposure compensation.

Although the recorded image is not grain y , it may look as if it is strobing due to the slow shutter speed. During Night-Alive, it ma y be diffi cult to bring the camcorder into focus .

Since a digital signal is sent, there is little, if any , image or sound deterioration.
42 EN Connections/Editing Connection T o A Personal Computer When connecting the camcorder to a PC using a D V cable, make sure to f ollow the procedure below . Connecting the cable incorrectly may cause malfunctions to the camcorder and/or the PC. • Connect the D V cable fi rst to the PC , and then to the camcorder .

EN 45 T roubleshooting ENGLISH W arning Indication Meaning / Remedy High Exhausted • Displays the battery remaining power . • As the batter y power comes close to nil, the battery remaining power indicator blinks. When the battery power is e xhausted, power turns off automatically .
