3 Introduction About discs This system has been designed to play back the f ollowing discs: DV D V I D E O, DV D AU D I O , V C D, S V C D, C D This system can also play bac k the f ollowing discs: • Finalized D VD-R/-RW discs recorded in the D VD VIDEO f ormat.
4 Notes on all files • The system can only recognize and pla y files with one of the follo wing e xtensions, which can be in any combination of upper and lower case; • MP3: “.MP3”, “.mp3” • WMA: “.WMA” , “.wma” • JPEG: “.JPG”, “.
5 Introduction The numbers represent the page numbers. * Connect headphones (not suppl ied) with a stereo mini plug. If the headphones are connected, th e speakers and subwoof er will not produce any sound.

7 Introduction This page is for when operating y our TV using the remote control o f this product. Setting the manufacturer's code 1 Slide the remote control mode selector to the TV side. 2 Keep pressing down TV. NOTE Keep pressing down TV until Step 4 is com plete.
8 Connection When positioning the antenna, listen to an actual radio prog ram (ref er to “Listening to a radio broadcast” on page 32). Connecting antennas C onnecting AM loop antenna ( supplied ) 1 Set up the AM loop antenna. 2 Connect antenna cords.
9 Connecting up Connection There is no d iff erence between the left and r ight speakers. CAUTION • DO NOT conn ect more than one speaker to one speaker terminal. • The speakers of this product are magneticall y shielded, but color irregulari ties may occur on the TV depending on how the speake rs are installed.
10 Connecting up Connection This page is for when connecting the main unit with other de vices. Connecting subwoofer Connecting with other audio device When you want to hear sound from the subwoof er , press S.WFR OUT on the remote co ntrol to display “SUBWOOFER” on the displa y window on the main unit.

Also, when c onnecting the main unit to a T V with a VCR built in, there may be picture distortion while playing .

35 How the daily timer w orks Once the daily timer has been set, the timer indicato r and time r number indicator (1/2/3) are lit on the display window . Daily ti mer tur ns on the system at the same time e v eryday until the timer setting is canceled manually or another dail y timer is activated.
36 When the time you specif y elapses, the system will be tur ned off by itself . Press SLEEP. Each time you press the button, the time indicated on the display window on the main unit changes (in minutes). Changing the time Reselect the time by pressing SLEEP repeatedly .
37 Reference When you encounter a problem that seems to be a fault, check the f ollowing points be f ore contacting your JVC service center : Power source 7 Power does not come on. • The power cord is not connected to the main unit or an A C outlet.
