3 English Getting Star ted Accessories Check that you have all of the following items, which are supplied with the System. AM Loop Antenna (1) Remote Control (1) Batteries (2) FM Wir e Antenna (1) A C Plug Adaptor (except for Hong K ong) (1) If any of these items is missing, contact your dealer immediately .

For each speaker , connect one end of the speaker wire to the speaker terminals on the back of the CA-D501T and the other end to the speaker .

8 English Adjusting the V olume T urn the V OLUME control clockwise to increase the volume or anticlockwise to decrease it. T urning the V OLUME control quickly also adjusts the volume le vel quickly . When using the Remote Control, press the V OLUME + button to increase the volume or press the VOLUME – button to decrease it.
9 English Listening to Auxiliar y Equipment By playing the sound from auxiliary equipment through the System, you can gain control over how the music or program sounds. Once the connected equipment is playing through the System, you can apply the sound ef fects.
10 English Using the T uner Y ou can listen to both FM and AM stations. Stations can be tuned in manually , automatically , or from preset memory storage. o Before listening to the radio: • Check that both the FM and AM antennas are firmly connected.

22 English T o Pause at Any Time During the Recording Process Press the REC P A USE button on the Remote Control. T hen press either the ™ or £ button on the Remote Control or REC ST AR T/STOP b utton on the Unit to restart recording.
23 English Using the Timer The timers lets you control listening and recording functions automatically . Use the Remote Control to set the clock and timers. Setting the Clock The timers depend on the clock: the clock must be right for the timers to work as you expect.
