B efore us ing your d ishwasher f or the f irst t i me: T he water softe ner must be s et manual l y, us i ng the w ater hardn ess dia l. T he water so ftener is desi gned to remov e mi nera ls and sal ts fr om the w ater, wh ich would have a detr ime nt al o r adv erse effe ct o n the operat ion of the app lia n ce.
It is no rmal for a smal l amount of wat er to come ou t of the salt container . 1. The sal t con t ainer mu st only be refille d when the salt warning light in th e control p anel comes on. Depending on how well the salt dissolves, the salt warning l ight may still b e on eve n though the sal t c o nt ai n er i s fill ed.
6 R INS E AID DISP ENS ER To open the dispenser, turn the cap to the " open" (left) a r ro w and li ft it out . Pour t he ri ns e aid into the di s pense r, being carefu l not to ove rfill. Replace the ca p by inser ting it aligne d with "open " arrow a nd t urning it to t he cl osed (right) a rrow.
