4 INSTALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Unpack th e Re frig erator Remove t he Packaging ■ If the ice stora ge bin is located on the door , remove the temporary shi eld from under neath the i ce storage bin. See “ Ice Maker and St orage Bin. ” ■ Remove tape and glue residue fr om surfaces before turning on the refrigerator .
5 Electrical Requ irements Befo re you mov e you r r efrige rator into its fi nal l ocat ion, it is important to make sure you have the proper electrical connection . Recommended Gr o unding Method A 115 V olt, 60 Hz. , AC only 15- or 20 -amp fus ed, gr ounded electrica l supply i s required.

7 Remove the Door s 1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect pow er . 2. Open both refrigerator doors. Remov e the base grille b y pulling up on the bottom outsid e corn ers. See Graphic 1. 3. Close both doors and keep them closed unt il you are r eady to lift them free from the cabin et.
8 4. Open both doors agai n and check to make sure that they close as easil y as you like. If not, tilt the refrigerat or slightly mor e to th e r ear b y turning b oth lev eling scr e ws to t he righ t. It may tak e severa l more tu rns, and you should t ur n both level ing screws the same amount.

12 REFRIGERATOR USE Ensuring Prope r Air Circula tion In order to ensure proper temperatures, you need to permit air to flow betwee n the two sections . Cold air enters the bot tom of the freezer section and moves up. It th en ente rs the refrigerator sect ion thr ough the t op vent.
13 Adjusting Electronic Controls NOTE : W ait at leas t 24 hours between adj ustments. Recheck th e temperatures before other adju stments are made. If you need to adjust temperatures: ■ Pre ss the FREEZE R or REFRIGERA TOR arr ow to move the indica tor light to the right, one se tting at a time.
14 Max Cool The Max Cool fea ture assists w ith period s of heavy ice usage , full grocery loads, or temporarily warm room temperatures. ■ Press MAX COOL pad to tu rn on th e Max Cool feature. The Max Cool indica tor ligh t will r emain on for 24 h ours unl ess manually turned of f.

16 W ater Filtration System (on some models) Changing the W ater Filter Cartridge 1. Loca te the wa ter filter ca rtr idge cap in th e fr ont bas e g rille . Rotate th e cap count erclockwise to a vert ical posi tion and pull the ca p and filt er cartridge ou t through the base grille.
17 2. T o manually tur n the ic e maker off, slide the control to the OFF (right) position. T o Remove and Replace the Ice Storage Bin : 1. Hold th e base of t he stora ge bin wi th both h ands and p ress the release button to li ft the storage bi n up and out.
