9 T raditional Cooking Convection Cooking BAKEWARE T o cook food evenly , hot a ir must be able to circulate. A llow 2" (5 cm) of space around ba keware and oven wall s. Use the following chart as a guid e. Bakeware The bakeware material af fects cooking r esults.
10 Oven V ent(s) Single and Double Oven Models Double Oven Models Only The oven vent(s) should not be blocked or covered s ince they allow the release of hot air and moi sture from the oven. Blocking or covering vents will cause poor ai r circulation, affecting cooking and cleanin g results.
11 T o Re gularly Set , Untimed: 1. On double ov ens only , press UPPER OVEN or LOWER OVEN. Each oven can be independ ently se t. 2. Press OVE N LIGHT to desired option. 3. Press BAK E. Press the number pad s to enter a te mperature other than 350°F (177°C).

13 BROILING CHART For best res ults, place food 3" (7 cm) or mor e from the broil elements, rac k position 4 is recommended. For diagram, se e the “Positioni ng Racks and B akeware” section. A tempe ratur e of 500 °F (260° C) is r ecomm ended.
14 Convection Roast A. Broil heat B. C onve ctio n f an C. Bake heat Convection roasti ng can be used for roasting meats and poul try , or for baking yeast breads an d loaf cakes using a sin gle rack.
15 Convection Broil (on some models) During convect ion broiling, the broil elemen ts will cycl e on and off in interv als to maint ain ove n temperat ure, while the fa n co nstantly circulates the ho t air . The temperature is preset at 450°F (232° C), but can b e changed to a different temperature.
16 3. Press ST ART . The star t ti me, s top time, vert ical bar cou ntdo wn a nd m inute time countdown wil l appear on the ov en display . The stop time will not appear if n ot set in the chan geable cycl e. When the cycle end s, “End” will appear i n the oven disp lay .
17 8. Press CANCEL OFF , UPPER OVEN CANCEL / OFF or , on some models, LOWER OVEN CANCEL/OFF or op en the oven door to clear the display and/or s top remind er tones. Proofing Bread (single, uppe r and, on so me mo dels, lower oven) Proofing b read prepares dough fo r bak ing by activ ating the yeast.
18 T o Use Upper Oven with Probe and Lower Oven at the Same Time: 1. Follow steps 1 through 4 under the “T o Use” section . 2. Press LOWER OVEN. The probe’ s temperature sett ing will disa ppea r fr om the di spla y . 3. Press BAKE or BROIL . Press the numb er pads to enter a tempera ture other than t he one di spla yed .
19 OVEN CARE Self-Cleaning Cycle (on some models) IMPORT AN T : The healt h of some birds is ex tremely sensi tive to the fumes give n off during the S elf-Clean ing cycle. Exposure to the fume s may result in de ath to cer tain bi rds. Always m ove birds to another closed an d well ventila ted room.
20 3. Press STOP TIME. 4. Press the number pad s to enter th e time of day t o stop. 5. Press ST ART . The start t ime is aut omati cally cal culated and di spla yed. The door w ill autom atic ally l ock an d “DOOR LOC KED,” “DELA Y ,” and the st op time will also appear on the disp lay .
21 Oven Lights The oven lights are 12-volt, 5-watt maximum halogen bulbs. They will come on when the oven door is opened. On double oven models, b oth uppe r and low er lights wil l come on when eith er door is ope ned. The ov en lights wi ll not work during th e Self- Cleaning cycle.
