11 Cooking Pow er Many recipes for microwave cooking specify which cooking power to use by per cent, name or nu mber . For ex ample, 70% =7=M edi um- High . Use the follow ing chart as a gen eral guide for the su ggested cooking power of specific foods.
12 Sensor Cooking A sensor in the microwave oven detect s humidity released from the f ood and au tomatical ly sets a c ookin g time bas ed on the selected pad.
13 Cooking in Stages The oven can be set to cook at differ e nt cooking powers for various le ngth s of time, up to th r ee stages. Cook se t tin g s can be used in an y or der , ex cept defr osting, wh ich mus t be th e fi rst stage. Sensor cooking cannot be done in stages.
14 Custo m Defrost The Cust om Defr ost feature can be used, or the mi crowave oven can be manu ally set to def rost by using 30 % cook power . ■ Food should be 0°F ( -18°C) or colder at de frosting for optimal r esults . ■ Unwr ap foo ds an d remo ve lid s (f r om fr uit ju ice) befo re defrosting.
15 Keep W arm Hot cooked food can be kept warm in the microw ave oven. W arm Hold can be used by itself or aft er an automatic cooki ng cycle. Opening the door before the cycle ends wil l cancel the fu nction. To U s e : Put hot cooked food in the ov en.
16 MICROWAVE OVEN CARE General Cleaning IMPORT ANT : Before cleaning, make s ure all controls are of f and the ov en is cool. A lways follow label instruc tions on clea ning products. Soap, wat er and a soft cl oth or sponge are suggested first un less otherwis e noted.
