5 Electrical R equirements Observe all gover ni ng codes and ordinances. A 120 V olt, 60 Hz, AC only , 15- or 20-amp fuse d electric al suppl y is r equir ed. (A time -de lay fus e or cir cu it br eaker is r ecom men ded .) It is recommended that a sepa rate c ircuit serving only this app liance be provided.
6 Sensor Cooking The microwave system features sens or cooking functions. A humidity sensor in the oven cavit y detect s moistu re and humidity emitted from food as it heats. The s ensor adjusts cooking times to various types and amounts of food. Sensor cooking takes the guesswork out of micr owave cooking.
7 OVEN CONTROL Display When power is firs t suppl ied to the microwave oven, a “:” wil l blink on the disp lay . T ouch OFF to stop the blinking. If the “:” blinks on th e disp lay at any other time, a pow er failure has occurred. T ouch OFF a nd reset the clock if needed.

9 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetron in the ov en produces microwaves which reflect off the metal floor , walls and ceili ng and pass through th e tur ntabl e and appropriate cookware to the food.
10 Cookware and Dinnerwa re Cookware and dinnerware must fi t on the tur nt able. Al ways us e oven mitts or pot holders when handli ng because any dish may become hot from heat transf erred from the food. Do not use cookwar e and d innerwar e with gold or silve r trim.

14 So ften The microwave oven uses low power to soft en certain foods . Butter and cream chees e will b e room temperature so they will be ready to use in a recipe. Ice cream will be soft ened enou gh to make scooping eas ier . Use the follo wing chart as a guide.
15 Browning P an Use The Browning Pan is sp ecially designed to brown, crisp, and pan-fry foods in the microwave oven . The Browning Pan reaches its optimal cooki ng temperature in approximatel y 3 minutes. Use the pan as quickl y as possi ble after it is he ated for bes t results.
16 MICROWAVE OVEN CARE General Cleaning IMPORT AN T : Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and the ov en is cool. A lways follow label instruc tions on clea ning products. Soap, wat er and a soft cloth or sponge are su ggested fi rst unles s otherwise noted.
17 GREA SE FI L TERS T o Remove and Replace Grease Filters: 1. Unplug oven or disconnect power . 2. Remove each of the grease filt ers by pushing t he ba ck of the filter up, grasping th e tab, and slidi ng the filte r to the ba ck. Pull t ab down until the filt er drops o ut.
