4 INSTALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Unpack th e Re frig erator Remove t he Packaging ■ Remove tape and glue residue fr om surfaces before turning on the refrigerator . Ru b a small amount of li quid dish soap over th e adhesiv e with yo ur fingers. W ipe wi th warm wate r and dry .
5 Electrical Requ irements Befo re you mov e you r r efrige rator into its fi nal l ocat ion, it is important to make sure you have the proper electrical connection . Recommended Gr o unding Method A 115 V olt, 60 Hz. , AC only 15- or 20 -amp fus ed, gr ounded electrica l supply i s required.
6 Refrigerator Doors TOOLS NE EDED: ¹⁄₄ ", ¹⁄ ₂ " , and ⁵⁄₁₆ " hex-head socket w renches, a flat-blade screwdrive r and a Phill ips screwdriver . IMPORT AN T : Before you be gin, tur n th e refrigerator control OFF . Unplug refrigerat or or discon nect pow er .
7 Remove the Door s 1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect pow er . 2. Open both refrigerator doors. Remov e the base grille b y pulling up on the bottom outsid e corn ers. See Graphic 1. 3. Close both doors and keep them closed unt il you are r eady to lift them free from the cabin et.
8 3. Use a hex-h ead socket wrench to ad just th e leveli ng screws. T urn the leveli ng scr ew to th e right to ra ise tha t side of th e r efrigerator or t urn the leveling scre w to the left to low er that side. It may tak e several tur ns of t he leveli ng screws to adjust the tilt of th e refrigerator .
9 3. Thread the provided nut onto the water valve as shown. NOTE : Tighte n the nut by h and. Then tighten it w ith a wrench two mor e turns. Do not overtighten. 4. T urn shutof f valv e ON. 5. Check fo r leaks. Ti ghten a ny nuts or connections (i ncludi ng connection s at the valve ) that le ak.
10 Remove the Door Panels NOTE : When r emo ving and r eplaci ng deco rat or pan e ls, only th e handle is removed. All other tr im pie ces remain a ttached to th e doors. 1. Remove the refrigerator an d freezer handles: ■ Using a Ph illip s scr ewdriv er , remov e the scr ews that hold each handle in place.

12 ■ If the temp erature is too warm or t oo cold in the refrigerator or freezer , first check the air vents to be sure they are n ot blocked before adju sting the con trols.
13 ■ If increased ice production is desired at all times , set the Freezer Control to a colder sett ing. Adju sting the freezer to a colder temperature may make some foods, su ch as ice cream, harder . Digital Contro ls (on some models) For your convenien ce, your controls are preset at the fac tory .
14 For crushed ic e, cubes are crushed before they are dispe nsed. This may cause a s light de lay when di spensing cru shed ice . Noise from the ice crusher is n ormal, and pieces of ice may vary in size. Whe n changing from crus hed to cu bed, a few oun ces of crushed ice w ill be disp ensed along w ith the first cu bes.
15 Style 1 T o turn off the dispe nser , pr ess the L OCK butto n unti l the indica tor appears. The ice and wate r dispensers wi ll not work. T o unlock the di spenser , press the UNLOCK butt on until th e indica tor appears. Then con tinue to dispe nse ice or water as usua l.
16 2. Slid e th e car tri dge cap of f t he e nd o f th e fi lter cartrid ge. Do not disc ard the cap. With the cart ridge cap in the vertical posi tion, i nsert th e ca p into the b ase gr ille un til it stop s. 3. Rotate th e cartridge cap to a horizontal posit ion.
