7 Loading T op Rac k The top rack i s desi gned for cups , glasses , and smalle r it ems. Many item s, up to 9 in. (22 cm ), fit in th e top rack. (See recommended loading pat ter ns shown.) NOTE : The featu res on your dishwash er rack may vary from the drawings shown.
8 ■ Load cookie sh eets, cake pans , and other la rge items at the sides and bac k. Loadi ng such it ems in front can keep the water spray from reaching the det ergent dispenser . ■ Secure heavil y soiled cookw are face down in the rack. ■ Make sur e pot h andl es and other items d o not stop r ot ation of the sp ray a rm(s).
9 NOTE : Use both sect ions for cycle s with 2 washes. Use only the main was h section for cycles with 1 wa sh. See t he “Cycl e Selection Charts ” for mor e details. How much detergent to use ■ The amount of deter gent to use depends on the har dness of your wa ter an d the ty pe of de tergent.
10 T o check water temperat ure 1. Run hot wat er at the faucet closest t o your dishwas her for at least 1 mi nut e. 2. Place a candy or meat thermometer in a gl ass measuring cup. 3. Check the temperat ure on the thermometer as th e water is running i nto the c up.
11 Canceling a Cycle Anyti me during a cycle, press CANCEL /DRAI N glo ws. The d ishwa sher star ts a 2-mi nut e drai n (i f needed). L et the di shwash er drain comp letely . The light goes off when the d ishwas her finis hes the d rain. T o stop the drain Y ou can press Cancel/Drain aga in to stop the drai n immediately .
12 T o tur n on the Lock Press and ho ld for 4 se conds. CONTRO L LOCK glows. If you press an y pad w hile your di shwa sher is loc ked, th e ligh t flashe s 3 times. T o tur n off t he Lock Press and hold ENE RGY SAV ER™ Dry con trol for 4 seconds.

15 Is the water temperature too low? For best dishwash ing r esults, wate r should be 120° F (49°C) as it e nters the dishwash er . Ref er to the “Di shwasher Efficiency Tips” section. Did you use the correct a mount of fresh detergent? Use recommended dishwasher det ergents only .
