7 Loading the T op Rack The to p rack is designe d for cups, gla sses, and smaller ite ms. Many it ems, up to 9 in (22 cm ), fit in the top rack. (S ee r ecommen ded load ing patterns sho wn.) NOTE: The feat ures on your dishwashe r rack m ay vary fr om the dra wi ngs sh own .
8 T o ad just th e back half 1. Grasp t he tip of the tine th at is in the t ine ho lder . 2. Gently push th e tine out of the ho lder . 3. Lay the tines down , tow ard the c ente r of the rack. 10 Loading the Silverware Basket Load the silverwar e bask et while it is in the bo ttom rack o r take the ba sket out f or loading on a cou nter or table . NOTE: Unload or remove t he basket befor e unload ing the ra cks to avoid spilling wate r drop lets on the silverwar e.
11 How much deterg ent to use ■ The am ount of deter gent to use d epends on the hard ness of your wa ter and the t ype of de ter gent. If you use to o little, dishes wo n ’ t b e clean. If y ou use too mu ch in soft wa ter , glasswar e will etch.
12 Dishwasher Ef ficiency T ips Hot wat er dissolves and ac tivates the di shwashing d eter gent. Hot wat er also dissolves gr ease on dishes and h elps glasses dry spot-fr ee. For b est dishwashin g results, w ater must be at least 120 ° F (4 9 ° C) as it enters the dishwasher .
13 † A sma ll amount o f water is run t hrough the pump to r emove soil particles b etween the main wash an d final rinse. NOTES: ■ The sen sor in your dishw asher monitors the soil level. Cycle time and /or water usage can var y fro m the numb ers above as the sen sor adjusts the cycle for th e best wash performance.

Put 2 cups (500 mL) white vin egar in a g lass or dishwashe r -safe m easuring cup on th e botto m rack. 3. Run the d ishwasher thr ough a complete washin g cycle using an air -dry or an en er gy saving d ry option .
