4 INSTALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Unpack th e Re frig erator Remove t he Packaging ■ Remove tape and glue residue fr om surfaces before turning on the refrigerator . Ru b a small amount of li quid dish soap over th e adhesiv e with yo ur fingers. W ipe wi th warm wate r and dry .
5 Electrical Requ irements Befo re you mov e you r r efrige rator into its fi nal l ocat ion, it is important to make sure you have the proper electrical connection . Recommended Gr o unding Method A 115 V olt, 60 Hz. , AC only 15- or 20 -amp fuse d, gr ounded electrica l supply i s required.

9 Adjust the Door Depending on your mod el, your ref rigerator may ha ve two ( Style 1 ) or four ( Style 2 ) adjustable rollers located at the ba se of the refrigerator . If your refrigerator seems uns teady or you wan t the door to clos e easier , adjust th e r efrigerator 's ti lt using the instr uctio ns belo w .
10 2. Install the interior wat er filter . The interior water filter mount ing bracket i s located on th e left sid e wall of the refri gerator compartment. NOTE: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown qu ality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
11 Ensu ring Prop er Air Circulat ion In or der to e nsure pr oper temp eratur e s, you n eed to permit airflow bet ween th e refrigerator and freezer sections. As show n in the illustration, cool air enters the fr eezer section thro ugh vents in the rear and top.
12 Additional Contr ol Center Fea tures Max Cool The max cool feature assists with periods of high r efrigerator use, full gr ocery loads, or temporarily warm room t emperatures. ■ Press the Max Cool touch pad to se t the freezer and refrigerator to t he lowest temperat ure settings.
13 W ater Dispe nser (on some models) If you d id not flush the water sy stem whe n the r e frigerat or was first inst alled, dispe nse water in to a container until you draw and discar d 2 to 3 gal. (8 to 12 L ) or for a ppr oximately 6 to 7 minutes after the wat er begins disp ensing.
14 Ice Pro duction Rate ■ Normal Ice Production: The i ce maker should prod uce a complete batch of ice every 3 h ours. If ice is not being made fast enough, adju st the Freezer Control to a lower (c older) number in steps.
15 Crisper Humid ity Control Y ou can cont rol the amount of humidi ty in the mois ture-sealed crisper . Adjust the control to any set ting bet ween LOW a nd HIGH. LOW (open) lets moist air out of the cri sper for best sto rage of fruits and vegeta bles with s kins.
