3 Introd uction The DVC325 Camera Part Description Shutter Button Press the shutter button to tak e pictures . Y ou can also take pictures using the software applications. Focus Wheel Use the focus wheel to adjust the lens and sharpen the image you are capturing from 4 in.
4 Minimum System Requir ements T o use the DVC3 25, the computer mus t have the foll owing minimum hard ware and software requ irements. Additional requirements are necessary for recording audio and fo r video conferences.

9 Installation Connecting the Cam era Once the software is installed on the com puter , connect the DVC325 to the computer . Caut ion: Do no t connect the camera before installin g th e software T o connect the camera: 1 Connect the camera cable fr om the camera to the USB connection on the computer .

12 PRESTO! VIDEOWORKS Softwar e PRESTO! VIDEOWORKS makes it easy for you to capture, edit, en hance, customize and share video clip s and still pictu res. Y ou can create your ow n home videos , business pr esentatio ns, homework pro jects, and more. Y ou can apply special effects, text cap tions and audio effects.

15 Capturing P ictures Microsoft NETMEETING Softwar e Use NETMEETING software to ho ld a video conference with o thers over the Internet. All participants must have NETMEETING software installed on their computers and a camer a to “view” the other parties.
16 KODAK TW AIN Acquire Software KODAK TW AIN Acqui re software acts as an interpreter between the camera and the software applications. It allows them to talk to each other . With out the TW AIN Acquire software the DVC325 cannot acquire images with software applications such as PRESTO ! MR.
17 Capturing P ictures Acquiring a Picture Using the DVC325 and the KOD AK TW AIN Acquire Software 1 Set the V ideo Size to the desired size. 2 Use the Image Process sliders to adjust the Brigh tness and Contras t ; or use the automatic set tings . 3 Adjust the Hue and Saturation sliders o r use the automatic adj ustments.
18 Using Y our Own I maging Applications The fol low ing three ste ps des cribe h ow to us e the D V C3 25 with ot her TW AIN-compliant applications such as ADOBE PHOTOSHOP , Microsoft PICTURE IT!, and other ap plications.
19 Better Pictures T aking Better Pictures Y ou can imp rove the quali ty of your p ictures by foll owing some simpl e hints about: • Steadiness and Comp os ition • Lighting • Color balance Steadiness and Composit ion • Mount th e camera on a steady surf ace such as the computer or a desk.

25 T roubleshooting Maintenance and Safety Maintenance • T o maintain the performance o f your DVC325, avoid ex posing it to moisture and extreme temper atures. • Clean the outside o f the DVC325 by wiping it with a clean, dry cloth. Never use: • Harsh or abrasive cleaners or or ganic solvents on the cam era or any of its parts.
