- 7 - 8. Connecting the DVD Play er to a television Af ter setting up the DVD play er, y ou can now connect it to a television. The D VD p la ye r can be connected to a television that operates with the P AL, NTSC and SECAM standards.
- 8 - 8.3 Connection to a tele vision via video input (Composite Video) For this connection variant the television must be equipped with Audio/Video cinch sockets (Composite Video).
- 9 - 8.5 Connection via V G A This connection variant is only possible with very high grade televisions, L CD/Plasma screens or Video projectors. F or this type of connection t he television must have available a V GA input and tw o audio "IN" cinch sockets.

Connecting audio components to the D VD player Besides sound playback of DVDs, V CDs/S-VCDs and audio and MP3 CDs via the speaker of the television, to which the D VD player is connected, sound can also be played back via e xternal audio components such as a HiFi system, Dolby digital/D TS receiver or a surr ound sound system.

- 12 - 1 0. 1 . Using t he OSD Menu T o access the DVD player's OSD Menu... • Press the SETUP button on the remote contr ol. The OSD Menu with its menu options will appear on the television screen: The following menu options can be set: Language , Video , Audio , Rating and Misc .

- 15 - 1 1 .2 Inser ting memor y cards/USB memor y sticks wit h MP3/WMA/ DivX/JPEG data Note: The DVD-Play er always star ts in DVD mode. T o read memor y cards you press the button "D VD/Card/USB" on the remote contr ol. The DVD player recognizes the data formats JPEG, MP3, WMA und MPEG4 (DivX).

- 17 - Depending on the inser ted DVD/V CD/S-VCD it is possible that the contents of the DVD/V CD/s-VCD will not playback immediately , rather firs t a selection menu appears on the television screen. In this event select the menu option which will start t he playback of the film with the control button on the remote control.
