ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 3 1. Choose a n appropriate loca tion to i nstall the ATX6 o n a wall. a. If you intend to use the A TX-GPS access ory to synchroniz e the ATX6, the n a site should be selecte d that is wi thin the 25-foot cable limit of the ATX-G PS to a window o r skylight havin g an unobstru cted view of the sky.
ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 4 If mounting near a ceiling , make sure the top hole s are at least 2” away from the ceiling. If an exter nal amplifier wi ll be used, mou nt the ATX 6 within 6 feet of its lo cation.
ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 5 4. Attach the U HF Antenna to the ATX6’s BNC Connector and place it on to p of the ATX6 or on a she lf within 12 feet. If an externa l amplifier is used, attach t he amplif iers cable to the “RF IN” BNC connecter and to the BNC connector on the ATX6.

Select the H i setting fo r the widest a rea of coverage. Se lect the L o to minimize interf erence with systems outsi de of your faci lity.
ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 13 P Password (0 00 ~ 99 9) For security purposes, you may set a uni que passwor d for your A TX6. To change the Pa ssword, use the INC, N XT and SET butto ns. The INC button will i ncrement the digit over the dis played cu rsor.
ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 14 Operating Modes: Normal: In Normal Mo de, the ATX6 will listen for sy nchronizati on signals fro m the device s elected as th e Time Refe rence (Set-Up p arameter # 7).
ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 15 If ‘PcL’, ‘48 5’ or ‘GPS’ is s elected as the time refe rence, the ‘PCL ’, ‘485’ or ‘GPS ’ LED will flas h twice each tim e a valid s ignal is rec eived. The ‘485’ or ‘UHF’ LED wil l flash once ea ch time a s ignal is trans mitted by the ATX6 .
ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 16 Receive Mo de: Automatic: If RS485, GPS or Air have b een selected as the synchr onization typ e (in Set-Up Param eter #7) , th en the ATX6 w ill automatic ally enter a “listen” mode for 15 minut es after pow er up and eac h day at 1:05AM , 3:05AM and 1 0:45PM.
ATX6 Installatio n and User G uide Page 17 RC Transmit : If RC EMULATIO N is enabl ed [Set-Up pa rameter #15 , above, = ‘1 ’] RC Transmit is s elected by p ressing and hol ding RC (SET ) for 2 seco nds. The ATX6 t ransmits one (1) RC synchroni zation signa l to all RC-seri es Wall Clocks , as indicated by illuminatio n of the UHF Indicator.
