Vertical V enting The vent pipes must be connected to the proper collars on the unit and the exhaust vent pipe must be connected to the termination cap or the unit will not operate. The combustion air vent pipe can be connected to the termination cap or it can terminate inside the chimney .
10 NOTE: DIAGRAMS & ILLUSTRA TIONS ARE NOT TO SCALE. Zero Clearance Fireplace Installation This insert may be installed in a masonr y or factor y built/zero clearance (ZC) fireplace. When installing in a ZC fireplace, the ZC grate must be removed and the ZC damper must be removed or secured open.
