4 This Operation Manual describes the functions of the following products: Life Fitness T readmills: 95T See "S pecifications" in this manual for product specific features. S tatement of Purpose: The treadmill is an exercise machine that enables users to walk or run, in place, on a moving sur- face.
1 G ETTING S T ARTED 1.1 IMPORT ANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read all instructions before using the treadmill. • DANGER: Risk of injury to persons–T o avoid injury , stand on the siderails before starting treadmill.
O PERA TION • Always follow the console instructions for proper operation. • Never insert objects into any opening in this product. If an object should drop inside, turn of f the power , unplug the power cord from the outlet, and carefully retrieve it.

9 1.2 S ETUP Read the Operation Manual before setting up the Life Fitness T readmill. Place the treadmill where it will be used before begin- ning the setup procedure. E LECTRICAL P OWER R EQUIREMENTS The Life Fitness T readmill requires a dedicated* line according to the elec- trical configurations listed in the chart below .
10 H OW TO P OSITION AND S T ABILIZE THE L IFE F ITNESS T READMILL Following all safety instructions in Section 1.1, move the treadmill to the location in which it will be used. See Section 3, titled Specifications, for the dimensions of the product footprint (assembled dimensions.
11 S TRIDE S ENSOR A UTO -S HUT OFF S YSTEM The S tride Sensor auto-shutoff system detect s whether a user is on the belt/deck. If the user leaves the belt/deck during a workout, the system is triggered and the following message is displayed, "User not detected on belt - press “OK” to continue workout.
P OWER C ORD R OUTING W ARNING: Make sure the power cord is unplugged before attempting to route it around or through the treadmill. The POWER CORD (A) can be run to the user-front left or right sides. Excess POWER CORD can be bundled and tied to the pre-installed CLIPS (B) located under the front of the treadmill.

2.3 T ROUBLESHOOTING THE T READMILL 15 Malfunction No Power Probable Cause On/Off switch. Insufficient power source. Damaged line cord. Line cord improperly seated in socket. Corrective Action T urn the switch to the ON position. Plug treadmill into a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

17 T ROUBLESHOOTING THE T READMILL (C ONTINUED ) Malfunction Unit resets randomly or pauses Probable Cause Insufficient power source. Damaged ground prong on line cord. Line cord improperly seated in electri- cal outlet. Emergency stop magnet not engaged.
2.4 T ROUBLESHOOTING THE L IFEPULSE S YSTEM S ENSORS If the heart rate reading is erratic or missing, do the following: • Dry the hands if necessary to prevent slipping. • Apply hands to all four sensors, located at the front and back of the hand grips.
19 2.6 P ROACTIVE B EL T W EAR N OTIFICA TION The treadmill proactively notifies the facility manager about belt wear through diagnostics. An indicator icon is displayed on the treadmill console (if manager-enabled) when a belt check is required. This indicator icon is located in the lower left corner of the welcome screen.
